I was going to to suggest a Bosch jig saw, it's the best hand power tool I own, but that nibbler looks like it did well.

I have a couple of other videos in the work. However, they are quite time intensive. I have worked for two years on and off on one of them: the visualization of pattern welding.

Hi, I had an idea to use a powered electromagnet to collect metal from my shop floor and then turn of the power to discard. I searched for this and ended up here. Did you consider anything like this as a option?

Your Frankenstein roller is pretty good. It is a good example of how making your own tools is the mark of a good blacksmith.

I was surprised how well they worked :-)

You could have used a jig saw with a metal blade for the larger holes

I was about to say the same. Jigsaw woulh work great

@@Rsama60 me too. I have experience with metal sheet working. 0.8 mm and 2 mm thick aluminium sheets to be precise.

The nibbler look like it worked great to cut the inner hole. Maybe could have "rough cut" the initial hole with an oxy-acetylene torch? Plasma cutter is available in the PiShop. I can help you with that next time. I also have access to the lathe in the metal shop at work if you'd like better rollers. Just provide the stock and dimensions.

Could use an oxyacetylene cutter and a circular jig to cut the sheet metal, cost maybe 150-200$ plus rental of the gas tanks.

Yep, I'd go a jig saw. The (very expensive) Mafell P1CC is a monster and comes with guides and tracks etc. I bought it instead of a bandsaw as I'm space restricted. To the poor man, this expensive tool is a smash between a track saw and a bandsaw.

You'll laugh, but with certain types of drills, in metal, on hammer mode, it actually cuts faster, didn't want to believe it at first, but it really does.

That sounds really counter intuitive :-)

Ya know they have electric snippers right, not too expensive. I'd of just got a tube with the same diameter as the hole and just punched it out

The main problem with your videos is they are far apart lol Thumbs up and enjoyed your video
