In answer to the sealant question, automotive seam sealer. This sort of application is exactly what it's designed to do. Also, if you use a hammer to relieve the bending stresses as you form the sheet metal you'll have an easier time of it as you progress around the form. In any case, fantastic work as always. Good to see you post again.

So glad to see an update from you! I hope you are doing well I revisit several of your videos regularly. Like every month or so. Many of them are wonderful I just watched your ruler sheath video two nights ago.. Such a great example of prototyping and troubleshooting through multiple iterations until finding a perfect design that works for you. You’re a real inspiration to guys like me. I’m a little bit older than you but I’ve spent a lot of time teaching younger folks everything from woodworking to blacksmithing and machining. you’re a real inspiration to younger folks, (and older folks for that matter) and your work is always top notch.

Seeing you back here MADE MY DAY! Great project, can't wait for part two. I used to design high speed packing equipment, and if there is one thing I can see and love in your work, it is the ability to overcome issues and to do it in a way that uses two things that seem to be sorely missing in todays world - common sense and creativity. Hurray! New content! So glad to see you back making videos! As a side note, Ron Covell has great videos for sheet metal fabrication. In the "F-Bomb" series he shows techniques for simple ways of calculating spring back and then creating smaller templates so the metal "rests" back to intended dimensions. Probably too late for this project, but good info for future projects. Definitely worth checking out.
