The solution to the side quests is the exact thing for automata just do the main quest and collect everything that shines and make sure to explore everything as you go never sell a thing and always grind a bit when you get to a new place or after each mission

Unlike Automata which unlocks a chapter select menu you simply cannot got back to the first half of the game (as young nier) making completing quests you left there impossible unless you started a new save file.

The first couple of side quests were meh, but the side quest gets better through the game. Some of the side quests are actually related to the main quest. They really helps with the world building of the game.

NieR Replicant is simultaneously tells a beautiful, melancholic story whilst also being a right slog. Replaying the game so many times got tiresome by the 3rd run through (PRO TIP THOUGH!! For ending C, right before the Shadowlord’s castle, make 2 saves!! That way, you don’t have to replay the game again to get ending D, just reload your save)

Pc reviews are saying its not a perfect port, but the issues they're describing don't sound too bad. There's no option for framerate, so its always 60 with no way to cap it lower for a more consistent experience on low end hardware. The framerate drops in cutscenes and it isn't clear if this is because they were recorded at a lower framerate, or if its a weird performance issue. And the mouse cursor will occasionally pop back on screen when cutscenes start.
