I owe this machine. When you use it right, there is no struggle. To put the cams in, she should’ve hold the « cam release » button to the right, and then cams go right in. It’s clearly stated in the user’s manual.

I just purchased this same machine at my local thrift store. I don't have the monogram goodies but the other 2 boxes I do! I need to know how to thread it. I also lubed it and it seems to run good, BUT when I stitch the top needle is not catching the bobbin thread.. It looks fine on top but the bottom stitch is super loose and looks like loops. Do you have any suggestions?

I'm trying to use the monogramer attachments. I've got it all set up correctly. I think? then all that stitches is a giant dot of thread. Help! Please tell me what im doing wrong. thanks

Make sure you leave the bobin access door open when you snap the adapter plate on the machine. The machine will « clic » the monogrammer for the stitch, and make the template advance from this. The interface is located inside the bobin door, to the right. It’s easy to miss. Would should also put one drop of oil on the black « arm » the will trigger the silver receiving end from below the monogrammer attachement. Not easy to explain, but look at the machine, and you’ll see what I mean.

I am looking for a 1973 - 1974 Kenmore, if you know where about I can get one please let me know. I don't know the model number, that was my very first machine. My mother got it for me for Christmas. We moved and I think my machine stayed. Anyways I would like to get one.

how do u thread ur sewing machine
@judilyn488 жыл бұрын
where do you recommend I take my 1977 Kenmore same exact model you show here. I can only sew a straight stitch. the stitch selected moves but the stitching is still straight no matter where I place the marker. also I noticed that the needle moves side/side when you move selector mine doesnt.

Mine had the same problem when I bought it. The machine needs oil. Sewing machine oil, and NOTHING ELSE. The zig zag movement got stuck from not being used/not being oiled for a long time. It’ll come back to life in seconds after being properly oiled. Pay attention to the lower « rails » inside the left snap cover (where the light is, where the pressure foot tension adjustment is as well). The machine cast has a slot that act as a guide (or rail) at the bottom most of it, and it’s likely the choking point of your system.

Can you purchase a sewing table for this machine also what does this machine sale for?
@angelar15004 жыл бұрын
I think when you have a "free arm" you can't use a vintage table that the machine folds down into as you wouldn't be able to access the arm and there are no "hinge" areas on these machines. You can find tables that have cut outs for free arms, they look more like plain folding tables. Ebay or local Craigslist are good places to look for inexpensive tables or internet search for new sewing tables.
