According to Wikipedia, he died in 2018, he was out on a walk and got struck by a Car. This poor Guy was treated and robbed disgracefully by Michalczewski in their 1st fight, and even worse by Jones and the WBC, who blatantly screwed him out of his WBC LHW Title in 98. Rip Rocky.

I’m catching up on all Eubank Sr.s fight, I think he was underrated and one of the better pros during his time. Definitely one of the better European fighters, and I’m betting if he trained in the US he would have been more recognized internationally.

Eubank was a great boxer, had a great chin and head like stone. However after the Watson fight and accident Eubank lost the will to finish a fighter when stunned. Watson accident serious messed with Eubanks head.

Nun ja, ob es Betrug ist, wird leider wohl immer Streitthema sein, aber es liegt mir total fern eines draus zu machen, weil es auch nicht im Sinn von Graciano ist. Einerseits geb ich dir teilweise recht, wenn es um den Kampfstil von Graciano geht. Auch da hab ich mir ein bisschen mehr Aktivität von ihm erwartet, andererseits war vielleicht auch Strategie dahinter. Vielleicht wollte er nicht vorher schon zuviel Energie verballern, weil Eubank zugegeben kein Fallobst ist. Das habe ich jetzt nur angenommen bzw nur spekuliert, ich war ja nicht live dabei. Andererseits denke ich auch an einer möglichen Betrugsgeschichte, weil es ja ein offenes Geheimnis ist, dass im Boxsport betrogen, belogen und geschoben wird. Sei es drum, für uns wird Rocky immer der Beste bleiben! Nebenbei: Die Kommentatoren nerven extremst, weil sie Gracianos Namen kontinuierlich falsch aussprechen🙄.

Rocky zählte zu seiner Zeit zu den besten 3 oder 4 Boxern seiner Gewichtsklasse, ganz klar wurde das nicht, weil er hatte auch Pech wurde benachteiligt. Vermutlich wäre noch mehr drin gewesen, wenn er dieses Streetfighter Image abgelegt hätte, das sich schlechter vermarkten ließ. Dariusz Michalczewski, Henry Maske hatte er häftig am Wickel. Eubank hat er die Arroganz genommen, eine Top Leistung von Rocky. Als Typ war er ne ehrliche Haut mit sympathische Berliner Schnauze: Helden sterben früher. War ne spannende Zeit im Boxen mit dir. This was a really tough fight to score, Eubank bossed the first half, Rocchegianni the second half. Both Guys missed a lot with Eubank scoring with a lot of body shots and Rocchegianni scoring the better, cleaner head shots and fair play to 2 of the Judges, who called it fair.

A lot of glove hitting by Eubank, and the commentary was atrocious. Not enough return action from Rocci in the early rounds, and lacked continued aggression in favour of a good guard, but over all, with his continued pressure, and some good mid round scoring shots from Rocci , this was much closer than the scorecards pointed. But a good fight apart from Eubank being a plonker!

Eubank was never the same fighter after the Watson fight and the severe brain damage Watson suffered. Eubank turned into a very tentative fighter afterwards. Doing enough to win rounds without causing serious harm to his opponents. I remember against Steve Collins, he hurt him badly in the 10th, but wouldn't follow up with a decisive blow to finish him off. He completely froze. He did the same against Carl Thompson. He boxed his ears off, but wouldn't pull the trigger. Unfortunately, boxing is a brutal sport and Eubank should had retired a lot sooner.

Sven Ottke 34-0 I've seen your silly comments before on other videos. Eubank would have done a job on Ottke in a fair contest. Ottke was a joke of a champion. Never fighting outside Germany. When I think of Ottke, I think of the robbery years. He won many bogus hometown decisions. The fight against Reid was one of most biased decisions I have ever seen in boxing, where the referee and Ottke were working as a team. At least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask when he robbed from people.
