Hey Paul! Thank you so much for this video! I love it that you can agree that Nigel ______g Farage is a complete ____, or as you put it, "He's Full of It..." Which he totally so is! Because what he ultimately is, is a populist charlatan, and full of total crap! But, Like Trump, he appeals to people who are simply not informed. Meanwhile, the MSM give him a huge amount of platform because he’s “Mr Brexit”, and he’s “entertaining”. Because the MSM don’t want politics to be boring, like it should be, so they think it needs to be a form of entertainment. But actually, Mr Brexit Farage is a total ______g fraudster! Paul, again, thank you so much! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Before invading putin stated that he wants NATO to go back to pre 1997 borders. Do you think he was afraid of NATO? He knows that he has a lot of nuclear weapons and no one will ever try to invade. Plus you need 30 nations to agree to invade. The only reason he doesn’t want Eastern European countries to join NATO is that he won’t be able to invade them.

It was never about a NATO threat to Russia. What a dictator fears is his population getting a taste of what the west can afford their people. He saw what happened in Ukraine with Maidan, and panicked that would spill over to Russia. Democracies arent a threat to the people, governments are. It's just that in Putins case, he IS the government. In short, it's not about nukes or missiles, it's about ideals.

Those 1997 borders were agreed at the time with the USA. So we can trust the USA? "To be an enemy of the US is dangerous, but to be a friend is fatal" Henry Kissinger. Maybe Zelensky should have read that quote before listening to Western support. Would have saved the lives of a lot of Russian and Ukraine young men.

@@Bob-el3iw People are getting things wrong, very effing wrong. And they're getting it wrong because they're being subjected to a very powerful and persuasive propaganda campaign. The West absolutely provoked this war, I'm astonished so many aren't prepared to look beyond the narrative. Paul certainly doesn't. It's my profound belief, the US wanted this war. They planned it, gamed it out and then deliberately adopted policies, guaranteed to trigger it. Putin was not so much the aggressor, as he is the patsy who fell into a trap the US laid specifically for him. For over two years, people have been stuck fast to the western media narratives of how this war started and sites like this serve as an echo chamber to that narrative. Never mind what Putin tells his people. Putin is going to spin his fictions just as the West spins it's. Putin has to sell this war to his people in as effective manner as he can. The stories he adopts are the ones that he believes further his goals. And it's exactly the same for us and those who lead us. Before you start mindlessly defending the West and how it wouldn't lie to it's people before starting a war, ponder how we ended up in Iraq. We've all been duped, yet again.

A fully democratic Russia would dominate it's neighbors through legitimate channels, and would have no need to prop up dictators there. The problem is that Putin's survival depends on staying in power, and independent neighbor democracies increase the pressure on him to follow the original democratic path which is not in his personal interest. This whole war is about nothing more than Putin's personal survival.

I voted today (postal vote) in UK Election and I voted for the candidate and party that had the best "track record" on Supporting Ukraine. So that excludes the Reform Party and Farage. My old Dad was in world war 2 and he and mum always did their "bit" ...even if it was little it was always done and then the rest was fun. They said. They were right. Once you have done your "bit" then enjoying life seems much easier and more pleasant. Feel better now I have posted my Vote . Thats over for another year or two. Slava Ukraini

Yep my dad was at Dunkirk and would be appalled at the constant refusal of the West to seek a peace agreement. People die in wars. Russians don't forget that. More civilian casualties in Gaza than in Ukraine up to now (according to press). Putin trying to drive Ukraine to the negotiating table but clearly not enough dead bodies for the West as yet.

Fact: Moscow was a village in 1240 when Mongols invaded Ukraine….(Moscow was a village in 1240 not invaded, Kiev already had the 1st University in USSR region with its own language) “First documented in 1147, Moscow grew to serve as the capital of the Grand Duchy of Moscow. When the Tsardom of Russia was proclaimed, Moscow remained the political and economic center for most of its history. Under the reign of Peter the Great, the Russian capital was moved to the newly founded city of Saint Petersburg in 1712, decreasing Moscow's influence. Following the Russian Revolution and the establishment of the Russian SFSR, the capital was moved back to Moscow in 1918, where it later became the political center of the Soviet Union. Wiki.. “The siege of Kiev by the Mongols took place between 28 November and 6 December 1240, and resulted in a Mongol victory. It was a heavy morale and military blow to the Principality of Galicia-Volhynia, which was forced to submit to Mongol suzerainty, and allowed Batu Khan to proceed westward into Central Europe.[2]”

Nigel Farage is right. Here is a bit of an explanation. The idea Russian leaders had after the fall of the Soviet Union was that the former Soviet Republics would be in Russia's sphere of influence. Instead, NATO moved west, but not into countries Russia had a huge interest in. It was Russia's idea that, eventually, Ukraine would fully enter into their sphere of influence, join the CSTO, and generally become a permanent part of Russia's sphere, up to and including potentially being annexed through so kind of "popular referendum" in Ukraine. However, Russia has a lot of internal issues so their efforts were limited to influence campaigns. As long as they felt that a peaceful process of alignment would work, it wasn't worth the resources to invade or otherwise commit excessively strongly. Then comes 2014. First, around that time natural gas is discovered in Crimea and the Donbass. Given that natural gas exports have been Russia's main bargaining chip in Europe, that was a threat. Secondly, a revolution occurred, one in which John McCain gave speaches to the protestors in the street and about which the US was cery positive and fully supported. It looked like a real threat both to Russian regional athority, and their ace card in Europe. So they leapt on Crimea and tried to take control of the Donbas through proxies. The proxies failed, leading to Minsk 1 and Minsk 2, or "we will leave you alone if you just let us control your nature gas reserves", which Ukraine agreed to but didn't put into practice in the way Russia was hoping for. So, with Ukraine trying for NATO membership (which would lock Ukraine into the US sphere), and the ceasefire in Donbas looking very likely to break (with Ukraine having the upper hand), Putin concluded that war was his only option to keep Ukraine in Russia's sphere and to preserve Russia's role as gas supplier to Europe. If we had agreed to refuse Ukraine NATO membership, Russia might have been willing to gamble that the DNR/LNR could at least gain independence from Ukraine with enough support. So, yeah, NATO expansion did provoke Putin, the invasion is Putin's fault, and Putin did use NATO expansion as an excuse to Russians to invade territory he never really believed should be wholy sovereign. It's Machiavellian great-power politics, but predictable. The US government took actions it knew might push Russia into conflict, but decided to go ahead, in part due to principles regarding freedom and democracy, and in part out of self-interest.
