That’s quite the collection you have there, all looks to be very nice. Just a quick note on the Andy’s 1/16 Sherman, Tamiya glue isn’t hot enough to weld the plastic in this kit, found out the hard way when my tracks started falling apart.

Good haul. And yes. The Andy's easy 8 is far better than the trumpeter versions and it's cheaper. It has better weld details and rain devits on the hull. The foundry markings are also far more correct. You still need to a do a couple but trumpeters is missing far more . the only thing that would make me get the trumpeter kit (Korean war) is markings for the 3rd Infantry division I was stationed in Germany in the 3rd as a Bradley crewman. And our company got attached to the armor unit on trumpeters box art. The magic factory BFIST doesn't have an interior but it is a beautiful accurate kit.

I got the aviatic Pfalz and what a kit it is I’ve looked at it out of the box a few times and put it back till I’m confident of tackling such a kit. Be great if you do it as one of your KZbin series as could watch your build before I do mine. I’ve never built a multimedia kit like this one

On the SMS paints, I use them. Your original complaint was that the pigment settles. I find that as well, but I spend some time shaking them up (and will put a ball in the bottle), and they airbrush beautifully at 20 psi. They have a great range as well. I am yet to try Outlaw paints - every time I have tried to buy them online there is an issue getting payment through (it is not my card in case you are asking!).

Last but not least, the Meteor book BUT...please review it while visiting the places around your place that you have pictures of in the book and show them then and now! That would be really great! cheers Uwe

A friend of mine in the USA sent me a 1/350 Timber Crafted Museum Quality USS Gerald R Ford Aircraft Carrier and it's Enormous, 40" Plus in length, I would love to try the Kit Firm when a 1/350 comes out, Have done the Enterprise and Constellation in 1/350 Plastic Kit Form and I was really happy with the Outcome. Keep Well.... All the Best.. Respectfully. John

The moral of the story then is remember to put some drinks in the car before you set out. Its a small world. My better half did over 30 years in that factory, and while I had no stake in Tornado, I have a bit in Typhoon from my time at Rotol as was. Is there a model club in Gloucester? It would be a bit of a leg from here in the Wye valley but there's nothing over here.

Nigel, I’ve just finished the Andy’s HHQ 1/16th Tiger. It’s a great kit. Except the tracks, but that’s my fault. Yes it’s Takom, but at least I didn’t burn it like I did my Das Werk Panzer 3. So happy you got to go to Telford and meet all your supporters.

One thing I forgot to mention. I found out whilst building the Tiger, there are no lengths for the tow cables in the instructions. It’s a shame as Tamiya give you specific lengths even on their 1/35 kits.
