Very Fire 1/350 IJN Yamato Advanced Kit Review. Part Two.

It looks extremely well made, thanks for the review Nigel. I didn't see any clear parts for the search lights and planes canopy. Even in 1/700 I mold, the canopies and cast them with clear fast curing epoxy glue, it works really well. I don't know if there was Aichi reconnaissance planes or not on the Yamato, I personally don't care, it makes a nice touch of color on my ship and rivets counters are not welcome in my house... There is a great photo of the Yamato on line, during the end of the construction in Kure with working shops built on the deck and great details in the back (ships and the city of Hiroshima). When I print resin, I remove the supports before curing (it feels like cutting styrene, after curing it's almost like glass).👋🏻

I think I will be getting this in the new year. Just started the 1/350 USS Iowa. First time I've done a boat. Tons of PE but pretty nice tbh, so far it seems to be ready to bend... not sure how this is done, but it makes it very straight forward.

Tempting, however I just ordered the 1/32 Special Hobby IAR-81... Romanian in-laws, a lovely looking aircraft, and good reviews.

I have never built a ship but I am leaning towards buying this kit. Wish I could find a video on working with resin before I would tackle something like this.

Great review of this lovely kit Nige as you know I’ve got the deluxe kit and it’s by far the better of the 1/350 Yamato kits out there .

Is it better to drill out port holes? I was just going to darken with a wash.
