Any way out of the inequality in Nigeria? As the Lagos economy booms and billionaires flaunt their riches, Makoko, possibly the biggest floating slum in the world, is still mired in poverty. Economists worry that such inequality could worsen insecurity in the state.

@@DWThe77Percent According to Wikipedia Lagos has 21 million people, Why do Western Media focus and project to the World Makoko again and again a population of 250k people to represent a Nation Of 223 million people… Please this is a Negative agenda. Please come up with something better.

@@DWThe77Percentcan you prove 60% of lagosians live in slums and informal settlements? If this is the most famous and has just 250,000 out of 26 million people

I mean it's about Makoko so fair enough, but I see your point :/ If one looks at the other dw77 videos about Nigeria/Lagos a more diverse image of the city is displayed though. But generally it's an issue of course that Videos like these pop up more often than those about the better off areas in cities for example 🤔

We for sure had a Street Debate in Makoko in 2022, so checking up on what is going on in Makoko is fair we think? ;) Btw, you can watch the debate here, and maybe it also answers your question why talking about Makoko instead of forgetting it is a good idea. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aWiWgZuBjJamaMU

The documentary is just for you to make you think your country is more developed, it is not.... Nigeria has 60 cities and Lagos alone has a third your population

@DWThe77Percent What is stopping them from relocating to Ogun, Osun, Oyo, where the cost of living is very, very low compared to Lagos. Or Ondo state, where some of them always relocate to due to their ancestral connections? Why have they decided to live there and fish there as a means of doing business? So, if they are not considering these available options, why are you media entities not encouraging them to do so, if indeed you think they need help? Clearly, these people have decided to be living that way. Maybe they have something they are benefiting from there, such as selling fish, crabs, etc.

DW... Western proposed, South Africa is more developed Propaganda? Lol Nigeria is the most developed... Lagos has a third it's population... With 118 million people living in urban areas and 50 cities which you've never shown And please prove that 60% of lagosians live in slums and informal settlements... If this so called famous slum has just 250,000 of Lagos 26 million...
