Footage of the 10th Battalion of the 2nd Division of the Nigerian Army as it prepares to push toward Ore in a counter-attack against the army of the secessionist state of Biafra which had occupied the Mid-West State of Nigeria.
Led by their commander, Major Ibrahim Taiwo, troops are seen building a temporary bridge over the River Oluwa.
The troops anticipate being ambushed and casualties are taken. The commander of the three battalions on this mission, Lt. Colonel Godwin Ally is angered that recent recruits lost their composure during an ambush.

Note:
Ibrahim Taiwo was assassinated on Friday, February 13th 1976 during the abortive coup against the the military regime of General Murtala Muhammed. Taiwo, who was the military governor of Kwara State, was at the time a colonel.
