I am a living example, your children will come to look for you. They may come to you wanting answers and angry because of the things they were told, but they will look for you. It's something in children that yearns for the other parents no matter how brainwashed they are. The only thing is that they will come to you with misinformation ready to pounce on you not knowing your side. Sadly, my mother tried to do that with our father, but my father was not going for that. Every day he would meet us at the school bus stop and give us money for school that day. On birthdays and all holidays, he had something extra for us at the bus stop or sent to the school or sent to my grandmother's house. God bless my grandmother who was open to him seeing us at her house. No matter what my Mom did my Dad pressed to see us and be part of our lives. As my Dad got older and needed to live with someone to care for him, he came with me. my Mom was upset with me and stopped talking to my husband and me for a long time because we took him in to care for him. She has since passed away and my Dad is still living with me about to turn 100 years old this August.

The problem with African people abroad is that we are pour immitators. We often copy the wrong thing. The way American men and women treat each other is rooted on a history that African people know nothing about. Most African come here and want to emulate it without understanding the root cause. On the other hand you have people who come here with such rigid traditional values that is not accommodated by the western system. African should take the good of each cultures and create one that is unique to and fitting to their diaspora lives. The system here requires 2 partners to work and support each other... You can't ask for 50/50 cost and not 50/50 work... Things have to be balanced. Back at home people marry for the wrong reasons to start with. So the moment people immigrate elsewhere away from the family eyes and pressures, then true feelings arise.

Thank you so much, another factor is Help is cheap in africa. Over there the stress is too much on the women if you want to continue same life here. And you must split bills unless the man will die of work. It’s a different orientation

That last statement Daddy Freeze said is fact. Your mum can be the best mum,but she might not have been the best wife. It takes a man to grow and be objective enough to see and say this. The man is seen as evil and wicked as the indoctrination of the mum takes over. But when the male child grows and face things he will understand. Kanya west and comedian Blackson said the same. It took them to grow up and seek the narrative on their own after going through the same things their dad was put through. They saw the man was the victim and not the villain. There are messed up men as there are women. That just need to be on their own.

The woman speaking is a complete embarrassment. Why is she worrying about the fact that there's no protection for men?. Women are the ones that need to be protected and these laws are in place because in the past women were abused and victimised by men, women in the West had to fight to change the system and that's why men can not get away with abusing women like they do in Nigeria. Most Nigerian men want a doormat for a wife, someone they can control, abuse and exploit, if you treat a woman like that in the West you will end up in the divorce court (that is if the woman has any iota of self-respect). The majority of Nigerian women I know here in the UK are divorced as a result of being married to abusive Nigerian men who in addition to being emotionally and even physically abusive do not want to pay bills or take care of their responsibilities etc but still expect to be respected, thank God the laws in the UK protect women from this kind of bull shit.

African men issues abroad infidelity, violence they think nothing wrong with a little slap here and there, verbal abusive, disrespect, ego, miserable, lazy when it comes to taking care of the home, selfishness. Then they expect their wife to just be happy they have a man because of the seemingly ease men have to move on to another woman. They expect women to be bowing down to them regardless of what they are bringing to the table. They need to let go of their ego and learn to love their wife and not buy into this idea that they are God gift to women and their women should just take any rubbish. Just remember pride comes before a fall.

The moment you listen to everything your wife or partner tells you in the name of love, you might not even give your parents who gave birth to you $10. I love my wife so much have really made so many stupid and that is why it seems African men or Nigeria men are stubborn. And this is the reason why American marriage is nonsense and it has helped so many hopeless African youth to enrich their families. You understand how it goes. I never said man to maltreat his wife No, but do your best to keep her happy but never listen to everything she tells you cuz a man remains the head period.

Long story short, if a man does right by his wife and respects himself and her, bearing in mind that she is as human as he is and has feelings too,he should not be scared or worried about living with her anywhere on the planet because he is going to get the same good treatment he gives her. Men who are scared to live with or marry women abroad is those who know they abuse their women in one way or the other and are afraid that the hammer of justice will fall heavily on them, period.

@@vessarush3997 there are consequences for both males and females in Nigeria. Stop coping that narrative from modern women. Our culture pretty much keeps us in check. The roles are well defined but in most western world women always want to step out of their role to contest leadership with their men and it's breaking family apart. Beside, I haven't seen any society where what you advocate has worked.

That's not domineering behavior. It's their culture! Men leads the family. Where in the universe, anytime since creation has what you advocate worked? Take Nigerian culture any where in the world it will work well but what you advocate results in single parent household and it's not fair for the kids which in the first place is the reason for marriage.

Daddy Freeze please I can tell you that I totally disagree with that notions of saying that it's about dysfunctional society. It's simply acultural issues bro, if it's not cultural issues then tell me why someone would say it's because of dysfunctional society or family that's is the reason why our men and women are breaking up in abroad, that's wrong. Even the whites folks breaks up in western societies talk less more of Africans

Well, the women are the ones who fought for those rights in the U S A; very few males did, except for the CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENTS!!!

Use the term, ‘some of the women’, not blanket statements! I know many women and men in good relationships, educated, successful who came to the U S A legally! Not looking for ‘papers’immigrants. The minute that man mentioned KEVIN SAMUELS!!! Really? With all his garbage talk, how was he DELETED? Hypocritical! I’m happy I NEVER had the issues or concerns these men are talking about. Depends on the circle one is in it seems. I listen to hear how some people live their lives. Good show, listen, learn about things, minds open! Daddy Freeze had me 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
