I think it would be interesting to get oil samples from every bike with a wiped cam. I'm thinking it has to do with improper oil for break-in and the cams aren't hardening properly. Same thing happens in cars when they took the zinc out of the oil. Zinc is harmful to catalytic converters, but it's also the only think keeping flat tappet engines alive.
