Seriously, Larroquette's comic timing was on a whole other level. He didn't need quick edits or cutaway scenes to make you burst out laughing. And to do all that while Teri Hatcher, a walking pin-up at the time, is truly amazing.

It's a testament to John Larroquette and his skills as a comedic performer that he could make the character of Dan Fielding (who was let's face it people, is a sleaze bag with few morals) so damn funny and likeable. Not surprisingly why this man won himself four consectutive Emmy's for his outstanding work on "Night Court"..... Great actor!

I remember this episode vividly, and you all DO realize that Kitty didn't really want Dan, right? She was put up by her uncle specifically to torture him. I hate how TV Land edited this scene. Originally, Dan was reading the charge against the Red Ranger and includes the line "did you know I'm not wearing a bra", which was obviously written by Kitty to mess with Dan. Then, while Christine is making a statement about a case, Dan slowly drops down and when the judge notices, the camera cuts to Dan on his knees looking up Kitty's skirt. That's when he stands up and goes to Kitty and says "Please stop teasing me." This version has Dan ask her to stop teasing him first, then Dan's comment about not wearing a bra, and completely cuts out Dan looking up her skirt.
