I really hope with the construction of the Gasthuiskwartier, that they'll rework the road there and intersections for the Zuid Williamsvaart (like by the cafe De Unie, and where the bus stops are). I always feel exposed while riding there and not knowing where and how i should proceed, so I avoid it at all costs, it really feels like cycling in the States or Canada when i'm on it.

Are you in America or Canada? There's importers of Azors (and Gazelle and many other common Dutch brands) that you can purchase from closer to home.

@@KellyS_77 I'm in America. I ended up ordering an Azor Oma fiets in "Hammered Copper" color! It arrived quickly and I love the bike. I think it will turn heads here! It's the most solid bicycle I've ever owned!

If you really want to turn some heads, you could go full hardcore Dutch by adding "fiets tassen" (bags) at the rear rack, a child seat in the front, a child seat in the back, (with kids of course) fully loaded Albert Hein shopping bags left and right on the handlebar and to top it : a crate rack in the front with some Dutch beer. Let the wife ride it while wearing high heels in the rain holding an umbrella in one hand. Now that's hardcore Dutch whahaha ! (but this really happens a lot over here!)

We have a sea (mild) climate. That means, not too hot summers and not too cold winters. In any season it can (and will ☺) rain sometimes. Thanks to the north sea 👍😂

Indeed 20 min isn't a long ride and I think he isn't going one straight way, like 20 min this way, than 20 min the same way back, we have lot of beautiful cycle laines, therefor a lot of different ways for going to your destination.
