I used to read the Night Man comics in the 90's, so when Night Man got the TV treatment, I tuned in on a regular basis. As a fan of the comic and of jazz music, every episode was a treat. When I found out that Tubi had the Night Man series, you better believe I started catching up on the old episodes. Btw, when Raleigh Jordan (the weapons designer who designs Night Man's costume) mentions his broadcast background in the first episode, he name drops the call letters of New York's WPIX, the station that locally aired the Night Man series. When I heard that when I was watching the pilot, I was so stoked.

The Ultraverse characters are unavailable for use as the movie and TV rights belong to a third party and the creators get royalties if they are used in comics. Marvel purchased them to not have to compete with them on the stands. A real shame as the Ultraverse had a lot of very strong IPs.

I loved the original comic. “He cut her FACE!!!” Never read any after the first one, but I remember he had a piece of shrapnel in his head in the comic that helped him hear evil thoughts, and he had an aversion to light so had to wear sunglasses at night.

I know right that’s like my biggest hangup right now watching this video you have a powerful ass gun that can strip the flesh off of people and you decide to throw it away after you’re done using it I mean what world are you living in where are you think that nobody else is not going to pick up that gun or accidentally stumbled across it and just use it to their advantage that’s like asking someone to be evil for evil sake even if there’s no charge in that gun left you literally just openly gave someone the free go ahead to go on a killing spree if it ends up in the wrong hands would’ve been just better if you held onto it

This was a nolstalgic one, hey Marvelous Videos ;) and a bit of a deep-cut, at least in my case. I remember watching a few episodes when I was a very young kid. Soon as as saw the thumbnail I thought "hey, it's that series about the hero who plays the saxophone!" P.S. what about a Marvelous Video on a series "about a guy who predicts the future, and it seems to be the same actor who played Superman in the series around the 90's" (I truly can't recall the title of now)

Anyone know what happened to the toys they made for the show? I saw them in Toyfair magazine, which is owned by Wizard. If there was a 3rd season, they were going to release the toys. I still have my original Ultraforce Nightman toys. BUT, was his suit GREY or BLACK? I can't ever really tell on the show. His comic suit was grey. So was his toy, except one version, that was black and red. no Blue. His original cape wasn't blue.

I got finished watching the show. I have to say season 1 had very good writing by Larson. Season 2 was ridcious and probably not written by Larson, but gave him the credit. I think they choose the actors perfectly. The only thing I would critize this show is just better choreography. Sometimes the scenes fast cut to quickly on to the next. If the choreography is fix then it would definitively cancel out the cheeseness of this show.

Also add to the fact that the production for season 2 was moved to Vancouver, thereby axing the actors of season 1 except Matt MacColm and replacing them by Canadian actors. If they stuck to the location of San Francisco like season 1, they probably could have up to two more seasons going into the early 2000s
