@Sir_Rat6225 They did, but they later on made a post saying it's a joke. When people won't listen to what you have to say, it's better to laugh about it than continuously cry over it. They said that people listening to their unreleased songs actually feels like a betrayal. Many of those songs are personal, and it's the equivalent of someone reading your diary or journal.

my interpretation of the song! (lv = love interest, aka who melanie is talking ab) i think this song can be interpreted two ways: literally and metaphorically. literally, melanie has insomnia and they wish they could talk to lv(or friend???) about their insomnia, OR they find talking to lv comforting and wish they could talk to them while they're up late and distressed bc of their insomnia. i know a lot of people think this is what the song is about but i don't really think it is bc of how hard it was for me to find the words to explain that LOLL as for the metaphorical interpretation, night and morning are used to represent the times where lv talks/doesn't talk to them. during 'nighttime', melanie feels like they're always waiting for that person to text them back. they want to text them but they're afraid lv will find them annoying/they don't know what to say (ex: I'm tongue tied in the night time, I say no words like a midnight mime). so, instead of texting them, melanie waits for lv to say something first. when lv talks to them, that's when the sun rises (I'll just wait here for the sunrise so you can crawl back into my life). i feel like this makes more sense than insomnia. it's about a one sided relationship where melanie cares about lv more than lv cares about them, and melanie is too insecure to initiate the conversation because they don't want to come off as a burden or scare off lv (or something like that). because they're too afraid to say anything, they're like a mime. i hope this made sense bc im tired as hell also, 10 signs of a one sided relationship which i feel like confirms the metaphorical theory (emphasis on 4, 6, 8, and 10): 1. Lack of feeling secure in the relationship 2. Second-guessing a partner's motives 3. Feeling like you're lacking in some way 4. Feeling empty after interactions 5. One person does all the "work" in the relationship 6. Fear of upsetting a partner of causing conflict 7. Making excuses for a partner 8. Worrying about when you'll see them again 9. lack of personal growth 10. Settling for bursts of connection but craving more

Honey let me make it easy for you , Mel has stated a million times she does not care about her older music getting leaked , what upsets her is that music leaks BEFORE the music was released that upsets her . Her newest statement is made by her label . you might ask , why do they release a statement NOW? It’s cuz before only like 1 - 2 get leaked in 2 months , but then Kinetics and One Love System was hacked and all those files with songs were leaked . And let me tell you it is speculated that 70 tracks were made for crybaby and almost 80 % got leaked , let that sink in . K-12 only had 1 song leak before release and MM3 has almost 10 songs by now. Her record label gave Mel a job , and that’s to make songs , and pick the best ones. They didn’t wAnt over 40 songs leak in 2 MONTHS. Studios are expensive to book and this was like money waste . It’s exactly why she was forced to make the statement
