Yep. Same here. I feel, the song was spot on, but a bit "thinner" - as if Freddies voice gaped over more from bottom to top. But very very good work, and - as the meme would say: "One simply doesn't try to out do Queens arrangements of their songs".

Prophet's Song was hands down the most underrated Queen song that ever existed. It was a song that had moments of such power that it makes me shiver each time I hear it. And you're right, this band does such a good job with it.

@@M0rket I like it. You have to have excellent hearing to do something like this. Martel is a great musician with a true love for art and music just as Freddie was. That’s why I never liked Adam in Queen it was more like strategic and marketing decision, I live for real emotions and love for music which is very rare in today’s world.

Queen never did this song live to this level of precision themselves, because it simply wasn't possible. Martel approached it, and somewhat succeeded. I hold Martel in high regard, but he simply didn't come close enough. But all this is subjective. Night of Queen has the personnel to FILL all of these voices, live on stage. Something that Martel couldn't possibly do on his own.

I was really impressed with the vocals in the acapella section. Really incredible & amazing. Queen used 3 bands members to accomplish it on record but I think doing it live required a great deal of rehearsal. This version is absolutely STUNNING!!

wow guys, just wow. the attention to detail. the lead vocal, wow, and even with the full delay game in the middle. the choir work, not shying away from all those mean close intervals. and a good transcription to begin with (usually covers of more complex queen material already fail at that point). this clearly must have been a labour of love. i applaud all of you. absolutely awesome. now the music producer and queen nazi within me needs to say that for the future somebody should show you guys how to tune the snare to make it sound more 70s queen ish, but, well, you know, in contrast to all the greatness thats really just a detail that im mentioning so that you dont think this is blind praise ;-)
