Fight scenes between actors were just perfectionized a few years later when they made "They live" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I remember watching this as a young lad on the Scyfi Channel. Every Saturday and possibly Sunday they would have event themed movies like Zombies, Animal/Insect attack movies, eco-horror films, etc. It introduced me to so many different films and franchises with Night of the Comet being one of my favorites.

You made my day; Night of the Comet is one of my favorite movies. It came out when I was a teenager, so watching it is like a bit of nostalgia for me. I even worked at a movie theater in high school. Keep up the 80s videos. Off the Shelf Reviews is my favorite channel on the internet.

This one grew on me after a while. I remember seeing this on the AMC channel here in the US in the early 2000's. They had a horror marathon every Friday night for a while that really blew me away in my preteens - Prince of Darkness, The Innocents, The Other (really should check that out if you haven't), Halloween III, The Keep and friggin Xtro I first saw all on that block. Pretty cool stuff. Didn't like this one as much back then but I'm more fond of it now. I think it's a little smarter and more well done than I had remembered. Definitely does have a comic book and/or Twilight Zone vibe. This one could fit in a "commercialsploitation" marathon along with Chopping Mall, The Stuff, Dawn of the Dead, etcetera if you had that inclination. Anyway thanks dudes & keep it up! I look forward to these reviews cause more often than not you cover movies I either just kinda forgot about or otherwise just haven't revisted in a while. Might check this out again later. Stay well and happy fellas!

When you talk about how this wasn't a Kubrick type movie where they do a couple hundred takes, all I can think of is 'yah, I would rather see a movie where the actors arent abused by a lunatix. Perhaps even enjoyed their job that day.'

If you're to young to have experienced it, and you want a small taste of the 80's, turn off your cell phone and at around midnight, watch this movie. In my opinion you'll get a small glimpse into that time.

Not sure why they keep saying the comet zombies are haphazard. It was made pretty clear by the film that it depends on your initial exposure and your general resistance. Jeffrey Lewis even has a line along the lines of "we're not all robots that are going to fall over at the same time."

A pure cheese 🧀 80s apocalyptic ,zombie, cannibal horror comedy cult classic B-movie...& a lot of fun. Very watchable! Impressive makeup for the budget. I loved playing “Tempest” back in the day. Agreed, very much like “Day of The Triffids “. Didn’t know that the characters inspired “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”,interesting. Yes definitely.

I just watched this on Tubi about 2 weeks ago. I know people always say stuff from the 80s is dated, newsflash! All the crap that comes out now will be dated in 30 years. It's called time 😏 anyway, it's a fun little flick.

A product of the 80's, and they want to put a lot of stuff in the movie, despite the low production and budget, and they manage to tell this history where is the two sisters what make the movie work and relate to those character, but is very cheesy anyway

pre-CGI films are challenging to produce. But unlike ALIENS (Alien 2), this film has been forgotten; would have been a great and supposedly a classic one as its story is good for blockbuster-type, but poorly written.
