Thanks so much for this video. I never knew my hero 4 could do so much. What app are you using? Does it still exist these days (2022). Also, I will have an opportunity to see the Southern Lights from a plane and will be taking my hero 4. Is there any extra advice you would have for settings. The interior of the plane will be made dark etc.

Really helpful video, as i only have a gopro (maybe santa will buy me a DSLR for xmas?) and would love to get into some night photography. I'll have to try some similar looking shots and see if i can reproduce your results, conveniently crooklets is also my local beach!

Good info! What GoPro Hero 4 Black settings do you recommend for night time flying on a drone?

It depends on what you are trying to capture. Night mode on any camera (ISO vs Speed) is always trial and error. There are no such things as fixed settings.

Ah.. the good ol' days when the app was still usable without requiring a log in. Out of principal I refuse to set up a login - hence I no longer have remote control capabilities like this. I'm sure I am not alone

Yes you can, you can set the camera to record until the sd card is filled then it will reset and film over it until you stop it. You can also charge and record at the same time👍

Good vid but what a waste of time getting noisy shots with a small sensor. I think budget camera with kit lens will do much better.
