I think 0-60 in 7.2s is for the gle350 (2l petrol). For the 300d it must be 8.1s , right?

No, 7.2 is correct. The 2021 model is actually below 7 seconds

Why is it being a 4-cylinder such a bad thing? Bigger does not mean better. Mercedes-Benz has had 4-cylinders on the GLE/ML for decades and it is mostly to pass European regulations. Besides, a 4-cylinder saves us a lot of money in insurance as oppose to a 6-cylinder that will increase the insurance by a big amount of Euros. You are not just paying for the car's engine...by the way. Bigger does not always equal better. Get that in your head. Also, the price you said is not the base price. This car is almost fully loaded. If big engines is your thing for some reason, get the 400d or 450d. Those are 6-cylinders and the base price is not that much higher, but the insurance sure will be. This car is not even that expensive, anyway. I have no idea what you whinging about.

@@ClaireYunFarronXIII first of all no one buys a base GLE. Imagine buying a GLE without heated seats. German brands rip you off on options. HAVE YOU SEEN HOW MISERABLE AN E200 IS? Second there is absolutely a huge difference in driving feel between different engines. The car is stupendously expensive and not worth the money even if it was an GLE450.

@@krisianzavalani No, you are just poor. My guy, I have owned German cars for almost three decades, and so have friends and family members. They are not a rip off, unless you are poor. Besides, a only difference between GLE trims is the engine in most markets and a few options here and there. That's it. No one (who actually belongs in the market) buys the base of any luxury car, dude. Where do you get your GLE customer buying statistics? You are just poor, that's it. Bentley, Rolls Royce and other ultra-luxury brands also start with almost nothing on them. No idea why you are singling out German brands. Opel is a German brand, yet they start with a lot of standard features. Besides, why are you even here if you hate them so much and are too poor to afford one? There is little difference between engine other than KWH, Torque, sound, the availability of the off-road engineering pack, the E-active Body Control, and the availability of a plug-in hybrid...which is not on the 450 yet, and towing. Fuel consumption is very close because of the EQ mild hybrid system. The GLE has different engines mainly because it is sold in so many markets which crave different engines due to emissions and customer demand. Not every GLE engine is sold everywhere. The GLE in this video is loaded with many options. I can see just by looking at the features and the price. An E200 is more than sufficient, especially with the EQ Boost. Stop exaggerating. I hope you aren't pissy about it just because it isn't "sPoRtY eNoUgH." All Mercedes-Benz engines are sufficient for the car they are in. It is up to the buyer to pick the one they want. Not everyone wants heated seats or other certain options. Not the whole world is engulfed in ice and cold, dude. My car does not have heated seats because I rarely even freeze and rarely does it get cold, but I do have heated and cooled cup holders. That is what luxury cars are great for. They let you cherry pick and choose options to your liking. Only a poor person would have an issue with this. Again, Bentley and Rolls Royce do not come standard with features like heated seats, head-up display, lane assist, backup camera, etc. Those are all options. You know all those fancy features you have come to know and love from Bentley and Rolls Royce? Guess what? They are all very high-priced options, not standard. Lamborghini charge large sums of money just for a kinda fast and very loud car that is essentially just an Audi/Volkswagen underneath, but I can bet you will defend that crap. When you actually get into the luxury market and actually have money, you will understand. Go talk to luxury car buyers (those who did not buy a car too expensive for them) and they will clarify. Thinking this car is very expensive, especially considering what you are getting, is ludicrous. Have you not seen this MBUX system and the million standard things it can do that all GLE come with? No you don't. A base GLE (or any other Mercedes-Benz) is actually very good enough, in case you did not know. You are asking for way too much for little pay, I see. Get a job, work for these thing and stop whinging about things being expensive. The world does not revolve around you. The 4-cylinder is fine on the GLE. It works just fine. Actually go rent the car for a few weeks like I did and drive it. Then do the same for the 6-cylinder like I did. The 6-cylinder just gives a smoother ride for an already extremely smooth ride and it is better if you drive at high speed roads a lot. If you are a mostly-city driver, the 4-cylinder is just fine. Stop making assumptions. My mother owns an S-Class S600 that is almost fully loaded, yet neither she nor I whinged about it. That S-Class costs more than double this GLE and triple my C-Class. Guess what? No complaints about it being expensive. Know why? Because she is in the market for the car. You said that people will forget how expensive a car is because they are so busy paying monthly payments on it. Well, guess what? It took a year for my mother to pay off the car and took me a year to pay off mine, despite the price difference. Shocker! It is almost as if we bought a car relative to our salary rather than whinging about a car being too expensive...which we did. Our monthly installment difference was enormous, and we paid it on our own. Why not negotiate with Mercedes-Benz to help with easing payments like we did rather than calling them rip offs? My sister did that, but with BMW to buy her M3 and 5-Series. None of us missed a payment and it was over very quickly. Again, get a job and stop complaining and don't buy a car too expensive for you. Buy a Corolla. That may be good for you, unless that is too expensive.

As for the facts most people buy the base Panamera4 and that my smart dude from the internet is a Porsche! Everyone buys the GLE300d on monthly payments and not the 450. Maybe if you would consider going out of your bubble that you rich parents have born you in you would understand.
