I recently met Ron Howard and I told him that I absolutely love this film. He started laughing and told me that he loved doing this film, but Warner Bros. interfered a lot with the production. He was excited to hear that WB was releasing this Blu-ray through Warner Archive.

I was 13 years old when i saw Night Shift when it originally came out in the movie theaters in 1982. Saw it with my then best friend, a fellow fanatic about the movies. We talked, read, ate, drank, and slept the movies. And we went to the movies together once a week for a lot of years from the 1970s-1980s. There was no particular reason we went to see Night Shift. We tried to see all the new movies coming out as much as we could regardless of the genre (he loved horror movies, i preferred comedies), plot, critics reviews, or who starred in it. And Night Shift just happened to be one of the new movies that just came out. I dont exactly recall my friends reaction, but i loved it right from the very first viewing. It quickly became my more favorite movies. Going to the movies in the 1970s-1980s with my best friend is among my most fondest, happiest memories of not only my childhood, but of my entire life.

This movie is the perfect prescription if you've had a shitty day.Funny as hell with fine contributions by all especially a young Michael Keaton who kills it throughout. And you couldn't ask for a better starting theme than Quarterflash.Take 105 mins of Nightshift and call me in the morning.

Collaborating outside the Happy Days realm, Henry Winkler and Ron Howard join forces in a different capacity. In this particular cinematic endeavor, Howard assumes the role of director, diligently working behind the scenes, while Winkler continues to showcase his acting prowess in front of the lens. Can you imagine The Fonz as a medical examiner in this unforeseen cinematic venture?
