The one where the little kid opened the door to someone with a balaclava on; I think he was expecting to see different people living in that house and when he realized that it was just a kid there and the other tenants had moved, he made an excuse for the kid to go back inside so he can get away. I don't think he was there for any malicious reason pertaining to the new family or that child, but he was probably there to rob the people that lived there before but they were gone. That kid sure was lucky!

Hi Let's read - I just want to say a heartfelt thank you for your content, your stories have made a huge difference to me this last week. Since March 2020 my husband and I have worked in the same room from home which has been perfect for me as I suffer from M.E. Monday this week he started a new job from the office and has been out all day every day. It's been so strange and I was worried I'd be lonely while working and would feel too tired to do much on my own. So I decided to listen to a you tube scary story channel for a voice in the room and I have not felt lonely or anxious at all and have been able to do everything I've needed to. Thanks so much lets read for getting me through what could have been a really difficult week.

Concerning the kid that opened the door for an apparent robber: There are a lot of burglars who won't victimize kids. Just seeing kids' toys will deter a fair amount of them, as they do have standards. There's a great chance that he came up with the mail excuse on the spot upon seeing you, then when you left he (and likely his accomplice) left.

I worked late nights at a gas station on the edge of a small town. I ended up with a creepy stalker dude for a while. Thank god I made friends with a cop who worked the night shift, too. He regularly came to the station and my stalker dude finally got the hint and f-ed off.

"Did they have bad intentions?" (Black ski mask, getaway car, are you fucking kidding me?) YES they had bad intentions, but they probably had no idea that the new residents had an adorable little moron with them, and some criminals (A lot, actually) draw the line at doing stuff to kids. They probably had it out for the parents or the landlord, so when this wide-eyed innocent rube showed up, it scuffed whatever plans they had. Your age. Your age protected you.

The story about the guy in the black mask coming to "get the mail" when the kid was home alone was probably going to be some kind of robbery but the guy did not expect it to be a kid. He probably didn't want to mess with any kids and left. The father in this story clearly never told his child about stranger danger and dont open the door when you are alone kind of stuff. On top of that he leaves his child at home alone in a rough neighborhood and still doesn't educate her on basic safety rules? Blame is on the parents for this one for sure.

This is REALLY CREEPY. I lived in upstate NY last year and when I was about to use the bus after MY closing shift, there was this lady laughing with herself, I began talking to her because my dad is the same way, she talked about the weirdest stuff then when I got on the bus she followed me. I continued to act normal and have mercy and when I told her I have to get off she told me to never tell anyone or she'll be attacked, so I agreed. Next day people on the bus were telling me to never talk to her, they looked terrified when I still greeted her out of politeness. Apparently she "M" a little kid, that's when I stopped speaking to her........... I got chills, I think it's the same lady...........

Story 2 is waaaay too close to home! My neighbour got stabbed in the neck 3 times because he joked to someone to "suck my dick and I'll give you some cider". He was dragged up to my floor to one of the other neighbours flats whilst bleeding to death. They waited an hour to ring an ambulance and by then he was dead. Seeing the lone black Mercedes Vito pull up outside with men in hazmat suits and a gurney was one of the most horrifying parts. We had a permanent police officer stationed in the hallway outside the flat in question so nobody could interfere with evidence. Made smoking a cheeky joint in the flat a bit sketchy lol. I still live in this block and judging from some details in the story I'm assuming I live in the same country as the guy from the story.
