You are correct: technically the moon is only 100% full on one day, but waxing and waning before and after has luminance nearly as bright as full.

When the moon and sun pull the tide up together, it’s called a Spring Tide, again if they work in conjunction to create a very low tide is called a neap tide. Get well soon Gramps..

Thank you for sharing this magical moment. I use to live on Long Island and rarely took advantage of the ocean, but one night I went and the beach sand would glow wherever you stepped. Long Island ocean beach is not as pretty as this. Prayers going out for your grandpa.

Being from Canada, it’s hard to believe you went swimming in November and walked barefoot at night in the ocean. Lucky you. Speedy recovery for grandad. Your chickens back home sure are missing the spoiling. 😂 Stay safe.

I live on the west coast of Florida and in highschool we always took surf trips to the east coast because the waves suck on the gulf side. I find the sand to be better on the west coast. Clearwater beach has super soft sand that feels like flour. It's amazing. And we always called those little crabs fiddler crabs. I don't even know if that's correct or not lol.

I’ve never been to Florida and only saw an ocean beach once. I’m fair skinned so I was burnt within 20 minutes. Thanks for sharing this video. It’s a gorgeous place. The sound of the water and the moon are very nice. Thanks for sharing. I’m happy to know your grandpa is doing well.

Really cool night time walk along the beach! I remember being in Miami Beach many years back. There was this long boardwalk near the beach, at the back of our hotel. I’d go out late in the night and relax on the boardwalk, looking towards the ocean you can see thunder out in the ocean. Such a calming experience. The sound of the waves, trees making noise with the wind. Loved it!

Grandpa, feel better soon! Post, please be careful with the tides; they are no joke. If a shark gets ahold of you, stay calm, poke it in the eye. Stay safe. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful evening with your KZbin fam. That moon was otherworldly. I miss the ocean. ♥

Careful. Deep sea ocean beavers come to the surface under the light of the full moon and will often drag beach goers into the abyssal depths. There they reinforce their coral dams with human bones to redirect ocean currents. Stay safe, Post.

I was thinking that it reminded me of the opening scene of “Jaws” - and then you related your close encounter. I hope your grandfather has a swift recovery. If you turn out your lights can you see phosphorescence or bioluminescent creatures ?

Hey Post! I know how much you love nature and how much of your life you have dedicated to the delicate balance of nature and man- so I want you to know that red lights are best for the sea turtles during nesting season and are recommended over regular (white?) lights to use for way finding ❤ Hope Grandpa continues to make progress and I am so happy you are there for him. Y’all hang in there ❤❤❤

I live in Panama City and it's already been down to the mid to upper 30s at night. It gets colder in the upper part of Florida. It's gonna get down to 32 Sunday and the high will be 56. It finally feels like fall winter this year.

I live on the Gulf side. For 34 years I was just blocks away from the beach (Venice, Sarasota County). I've been in Port Charlotte (Charlotte County) since 2015, just blocks from the Peace River. Not near the Gulf. I miss the beach. Enjoy the water! I won't go into the water unless it's around 80°! About the houses and businesses on the west coast: look up the damage from recent hurricanes such as Ian 2022 and Milton 2024, especially Ian. Fort Myers Beach, for example, was under 15 feet of storm surge, I believe. Disastrous.

Opposite coastline, but this makes me homesick for Maine. I've been out on the rocks until 1:00 am with a full moon like that.

@post10Vlogs12 сағат бұрын
Why. Just stay on the trail
@tradewind674 сағат бұрын
@ staying on the trails are good for hiking, but the wildlife can be different at night vs day. Attracted by food or other items. Fresh clean water is difficult to come by, bring your own. The insects are very different and sometimes allergic reactions can be severe It’s always good to take advantage of local knowledge for your first trip. Have fun and I’m very sorry about your grandpa!!
