2 little things i think could be used to improve the clp do exactly what sacrix said but place your greater dark servant on the middle of the bottom plat with it there you can almost clear every mob on the map before the respawn tick and it takes less for greater darkservent to 1shot then bats so if you are weaker you can (hopefully) get better rates. ~~also hi im the slime nw you saw when doing dojo lol~~

I am 5 levels away from 250 on my Nw, and I mained the class and love it. The spear is so OP it causes lag back when I didn’t have a good PC, now I switched it up and have no issues with lags whatsoever. 🤣😁

MTS4 is pretty decent, Omen taking out the 3 platforms on the sides while you Flash Spark the bottom floor back and forth. Edit: Big tip is to turn on Enable/Disable sticky keys when pressing shift 5 times. It also makes Shadow Jump Toggle very smooth and easy to use.

So I bought a ghosting keyboard (Ducky one2) and I gotta say NW is an ELITE class. Also having a ghosting keyboard is nice for other classes. I’m a hoyoung main and I find myself using the ghosting to hold down ground wave and cudgel so I can melt any boss without even looking

I have a question bro! Answer me please! Im a NW lvl 210 and my range is 1.4 ~ 1.6m buffed. My arcane force is enough but i dont 1 shot them. Its takes me 4-5 throws to kill 1 mob... is it normal? At level 210 am I supposed to 1 shot mobs? Thank you and great video btw

Supposed to, no. One shotting mobs is something that counts with funding. Getting your AF up is a easy way to help your dmg in the Arcane river, since you get 50% bonus dmg at 1.5x the maps requirement.

Night walker for the Cygnus revamps didn't really change. Sticky keys is gone, and Spark is now a 2nd job skill. Otherwise pretty much identical. (Exploding bats too inconsequential to matter for training 😔)

As for the jump attacking, I recommend switching your language to a spanish keyboard (I use Dominican Republic). Bind your jump to alt key and your quintuple throw to ctrl key. You can then just hold down the right alt key to jump attack (the spanish keyboard will simultaneously hit both right alt key (jump) and your ctrl key (quintuple throw). The right alt key is a bit finicky spot to use so I then use SharpKeys, a software you can use to rebind/re-register your keys to a different key. I then switch my right alt key to my left ctrl key and vice versa. I hold down my left ctrl key to jump attack at 100% accuracy (will always trigger a jump attack after holding for couple seconds). I know a bit of a work but you get used to it and once you're set up you're good to go. Tip: a shortcut to switch languages quickly, left alt+shift. P.S. this does rewrite your whole keyboard so when you ctrl+c to copy/paste stuff, you must use right alt+c/v instead (since you switched the binding).

Sacrix, you check out the buffs/changes coming to NW? They're moving the FD% increase off of flash jump to a passive that will no longer require jumping. Maybe give it a look in the future since you hate the sticky keys? I know I will be enjoying it as a NW main lol. Will have to wait for the testing on it of course once released. Jump attacking may still be better just for casting speed.

Jump height doesnt matter. Its perfectly timing the attack so that you attack the moment you hit the ground, as well as at the apex of your jump. So you're getting two parallel lines of stars.

Would you consider maining the class following the massive buffs in two patches? FD from shadow jump is going to elemtental as an always up +15% FD, shadow bite's cd is getting reduced by 2 seconds, and quintuple's animation is getting sped up. If I recall, according to the NW discord, the difference between jump attacking and not will only be about 10% DPS as a result

~10% is the difference between sticky key 0 as jump attacking and manual 0 as jump attacking. we dont know the difference between jump attacking and not post buffs at 0 as yet, but at 2 as the difference is ~18%

I've heard it's best to use triple throw for mobbing if you can one shot with bats. Triple throw does least amount of damage so it summons more bats (if you are one shotting with your attacks, it actually summons less bats because it's only hitting the mob once). This is common in KMS, not sure here. Can you validate if using triple throw is any useful in GMS with frenzy spawn? I'll most likely be making NW main in Aurora.

Might work for no spawn boosters, but the more spawn you have, the more you need Shadow Spark to help the bats. Ideally, try getting used to using Shadow Spark, since the longer you play, the more you will end up needing it.

Depending on your stat, you can use quin toss. But if your damage output isnt all that well in the maps you train in, youre stuck with dark omen & shadow spark

Are these guides only good assuming you are on regular server? I have never had a character on reboot be able to anywhere near one shot the moment i get to arcane river. What happens if it takes like 3+ hits for mobs?

For reboot just avoid the small maps, and make sure you're using omen on CD. If your bats aren't one shotting right of the bat, that's ok. Since bats bounce unlike marks, they should still clear well enough.

Hey man, I love these vids, they're amazing! Great job on your journey so far. I'm curious if you would recommend NL or NW though? From what I can tell they're quite similar in mobbing and NW seems to have the better bossing (due to and bind), what's your take on the two? Which would you say requires less funding?

Both are fine, it really just comes down to preference. NL not having an I-Frame is an issue for sure when it comes to hard bossing, but its more manageable than it seems thanks to Dark sight. Both mob effectively at the same speed, if a bit better in NLs favor when one shotting. However NW will be one shotting much sooner, bats being 2x stronger than marks and all. Personally, until sticky keys is fully removed, I would chose NL. There are more V skills to come, and one of them has the potential the be the I-Frame NL has needed for so long. If not, there is always the unsealed Genesis I-Frame :^)

@@Sacrix Thank you very much for the reply. I've been working on an NL but I am a bit unsure if it is the right choice considering I am more of a solo player. I'm at the point where I can around 2shot with my marks at 203 on it so I'm figuring once I get some more symbols and stats I should be able to oneshot with them. What exactly is it you don't like about the sticky keys? I've only tried it for a short time but it doesn't seem that bad.

@@Qizie It's entirely personal preference. I've played for 16y without sticky keys, so swapping to playing with it, is very awkward. You're much more limited in what, and when you can do things. It just adds unnecessary restrictions to your existing playstyle, just to increase damage output. Not a fan.

Shadow spark feels better with more mobs in the map, since it’s sort of attacking behind you while you flash jump forward the more dense the map is the better it is when the map is full. With fz I’m able to essentially fj like a mad man and clear the platform I’m on and let my bats do the rest of the work.

To check if your keyboard can play NW without sticky keys, you can just press X and C at the exact same time (may take some practice to get the timing down) and if the result looks like this: xcxcxcxcxcxcxcxcxcxcxcxcxcxcxcxcxc your keyboard is good to go. Also some kind big NW buffs are coming in a month or so hehehehehe

I think Sticky keys is not required anymore, since a few patches ago. This is also my 2nd main and I love it as well, I prefer it way over Night lord. After 200 imo NW>NL in most cases (training, bosses which require more time than simply burst bosses and so on).

Also, since you mentioned Ducky Keyboards. PSA for anyone wanting to main NW and get a keyboard for it!!! The Ducky One Two SF does NOT allow for NK Rollover in Maplestory. It works. It does NOT work in MapleStory. If you want a Ducky keyboard, I don't remember exactly which one Dubsly has, but that's the one you want. If you want a Ducky.

General rule of thumb, the smallest maps I show, are hard avoids in Reboot. The difference in spawn speed usually makes them terrible. However, anything thats mid-midlarge size (think Lp1 / Earth spirits) are fantastic for Reboot as well.

just wanted to mention that dominion is like .2% and stitch is around .02% of a nw's damage. You don't need to boost either, perfect trinodes are a scam, just use 3 imperfect trinodes instead

Dominion isn't really about the dps for its purpose on the trio, more so with Cernium+ most people will need it boosted to one shot.

@@Sacrix with a half boost on dominion, dominion does 16000% (compared to shadow bite's 12320%). Even then, it is a three minute cd fma that takes ~3 seconds to cast. It probably isn't worth training at cernium if bite can't one shot, nor is it really worth using dominion as an fma vs its 20% fd buff

I've been maining night walker for more than a year, and I do bossing manually and once you get it down it just becomes second nature. It's not that hard to do manually once you get the rhythm. Just like doing blaster combo or cadena canceling.
