You summed it up perfectly. Arkfeld is more compact, edc25 is brighter, larger but has a tailswitch... Depends what you want but I'd definitely get the nitecore

I gotta get in on this one: Heres my take on these flashlights: I own the edc27 its a good flashlight for edc but, the ui is a little choppy. The arkfield pro and regular arkfield are both as you say. Now the edc25 is very cool in my opinion. The ui is easier than the 27 and heres the major difference: the candela is what will reach out and touch someone. The one on the 25 shoots way, way farther than the arkfield and the 27 as well. If you want a light for the wilderness and tactical functions i would say, you can't go wrong with the edc 25. I'm getting that one! I recommend all these flashlights for edc and tactical purposes. I just prefer the edc25. Thanks man, good review!

Good comparison on a couple of nice lights. I would prefer the Arkfeld personally for it's size and UI. If I was concerned and wanted more light and throw I would go with a different model like the Warrior Mini 3 probably.

This is a perfect comparison for these two. I agree that they’re for two different purposes. I like the Nitecore, but it’s a little too large for edc for me. I like the size of the Arcfeld for edc, but I prefer a tail switch (recessed tail switch is even better to keep it from being pressed accidentally in my pocket). I have yet to find the perfect edc light, but these are definitely two nice ones.

I liked this comparison… huge difference in the light output, but I’m sure the Arkfeld would see substantially more use. I’m surprised you like to have a strobe function, I think it’s a nearly useless (and cheap to implement) feature and I’d always take something else like a red light, UV, laser, etc over it. Thanks for the review, JB, and please do more of these side by sides when you get comparable items!

@@ElCapAddict strobe is a defensive tool. Most good lights have it. Arkfeld has it, UV, and 5mw laser. You can use UV as a low light source, like red.

The Arkfeld is smaller it also includes a uv light that is useful in so many ways. Who really uses strobe on their lights as much as you would a uv light. 🤷 Arkfeld for the win.

I agree JB both have there pros/cons depending on your individual needs. I also consider warranty as both have built-in batteries. If I am correct OlIght is now life time. Not sure who's lifetime. Thanks for the comparison JB. Take care.
