Nightcore is a style of remixing music. Generally, the basic foundation to consider something "Nightcore" is for at the very least to have the pitch and speed increased. HOWEVER, many do not consider this Nightcore/do not enjoy Nightcore in this form. That being said, a good deal of Nightcore has additional effects added to the remix such as increasing the bass, etc, possibly adding new (albeit somewhat minor) sounds to the mix, and sometimes increasing length to make up for the added speed.
