Its actually about the ancient great bridge of london. It was said to have been an incredible man made structure a literal town upon a bridge, but it was later destroyed by a devastating fire. They made this song in rememberence because that bridge would never be seen again. My fair lady was said to be in reference to the Queen at the time.
