I am a father of 4 daughters. I love them all equally and more then I can say in words. Reading these comments here, breaks my heart. So many precious children are suffering. To all children; please never let your parents bring u down. U have more value. Parents has different kind off struggles and it isn't fair to u kids for treating u like that. I remember listening to this several years ago back when I was in my second year of high school. It was a shitty time for me and I resonated deeply with this song. I'm proud to say I came a long way. I still have my insecurities and doubts but seeing this along with a few others songs from back then suddenly pop back on I'm happy to say I'm not crying in tears anymore. I am my parents precious child, despite everything we came this far. I got myself together and passed through high school, I'm in university without a plan but I'm working on it. I'm proud when my father tells his friends what my brother , sister and I do. We can get a better house than that one that still sits on the hill, mom doesn't like it that much anyway. I know I'll make them proud. Listening to this now I'm happy that it no longer resonates with me, it means I overcame it.

This hit me hard, I see a lot of younger people have told their stories here, and I hope you all try to make everything as bright for yourselves as you can. I have always been open about my story, but never to my parents. I have a dark past with deep depressions and my parents thought they supported me, but their talk about me being able to be whatever I wanted, it turned into meaningless buzzwords. All I wanted was for them to see me, to hear my cries of pain, but they never did. I fell into deep depressions and suicidal thoughts and tries. I still feel to this day that my final attempt actually succeeded, I am still alive, but my goals have faded, my willingness and motivation has died out. I am better today than I was when I was a teen and earlier as a kid, but I feel that I can't say no to my parents in fear of disappointing them. In fear that they might dislike me, and that they will stop replying when I am grasping for attention. Always felt like the black sheep that never fitted into the family, tried to take as small space as possible, but it leaves my vulnerable. I am sorry for the long text, needed to get that off my chest after hearing this. TL:DR Me contemplating my lifechoices and how much I wanted more love from my parents.

The fact that i've fought battles by myself, was able to hold back tears, sit all alone in the dark crying in a corner yet still helpless and scared to tell someone my problems, not breaking down, not ending my own life even when i'm hopeless. Just made me realize that i only have myself and myself only so i can't bring myself down or i might loose her. Made me realize that i'm much stronger than i thought. That every problem had a solution. That even when it's painful and hopeless, i still needed to fight for my sake. That i've went through so much and went through it all alone. As someone who grew up with this nightcore, I started listening to this song in middle school, and now I'm graduating in a few months. Life's hard, its going to be, its never easy, but you need to remember that you can do it, youve made it through birth, you won the race for a reason, therefore youre here, in the real world. Its possible that you feel like your parents dont love you, or that they dont care about you, but deep down they do, they may struggle showing it, maybe theyre going through their own issues at work, online, or anywhere, just like how you could at work or in school. Everyone has problems, just some are more serious than others, and some may be more sensitive than others, and thats ok. Im someone who cries VERY easily, i could be slightly yelled at or someone could sound angry, and if theyre a close loved one, I'll cry. But everyone is alive for a reason, so if youre considering on ending it, dont, its not worth it, things will turn around. that, i can promise you 🩷

I've only given my parents trouble. I've always gotten straight A's. I've always tried to be great. But by doing that, they broke me. It was so much worse that I realized. The small comments, that have now given me body image issues. The blow off because even through they did everything out of line, my brothers have always been better, and more important. Telling me to stay silent because if I wasn't, if I so much as moved, or breathed too much, I was being annoying. That has given me anxiety. I used to be happy, and energetic. Now, I'm sleeping maybe sixteen hours a day, waking up at midnight, falling asleep at seven a.m. Listening to music all night, reading something to keep my mind away from the thoughts that creep in. All of that was because of them. Because i was never good enough, because, i always needed to much. Asked for too much. Until I gave too much and lost myself. The happy me. The innocent me. The old me. The me I wish I could have held onto. But that is no longer possible. Sitting here at five in the morning, tears running down my face, I am writing this while my family sleeps soundly, not knowing anything is wrong. I'm sorry, this is pathetic, a waste of you time to read.

You can't wash it off, wait until it wears off by itself 3. If you cut, you killed the butterfly 4. If the butterfly survives until it rubs out, you completed the challenge!
