I received my Nightfox 120R binoculars today and I am totally amazed by the value!! I own digital and thermal night vison and considerably more money.

The Nightfox 119v is 1x magnification. I actually do wear it like Rambo and can shoot a .22 reasonably well with it. Although I have a much more expensive FLIR monocular. So, detect with thermal, and move in with these on.

I'm going to get a good thermal scope for my rifle but I think it would be nice to have these to move around with at night. Can you flip the unit up while on your head? Kinda looks like maybe but I can't tell. He may say if it does but I'm done watching. I'm going to order one.

Hey, trying to find one that allows me not to trip over things. You say the 119v is 1x? Isn't this 1x aswell?

I saw UFOs first night with these. Awesome. Even if the build is cheap they do function well. I use them in the pasture spotting the sky. yes they do pick up objects such as planes location saturated in clouds invisible to naked eye .Personal opinion worth it.

Got a Fox bino for Christmas. Uses 4 AA bateries. All black and white viewing day or night. Everything looks two denominational. Too much magnification so it's hard to see anything up close in my yard. Mine are nearly useless and eat the batteries dry fast. I am returning it. Yours look better.

Steve, just got a set of ir binos from Lidl. They are Bresser make, only £79.99. They got great reviews, and for the price of them, a bargain. Will use them for spotting bunnies instead of looking through nitesite.

Good honest review as always Steve. Personally would rather wait and see if they can improve on these a little, image stabilisation is a must I'd think and also better quality video.

Thanks Bill. Yeah they ain't all that bad and the image stabilisation is only really needed if you are trying to make a movie out of your footage

Great review but from what I've seen available out there in comparison to this, my advice is not to invest just yet. This is old technology only now made available to us. Very soon there will be units made available that are far better and more versatile at a compatible cost and they will be much lower in profile and weight. Thanks for the video, excellent video.

I wanted this unit could not find one as all sold out .night fox said stopped making them .I then found they are made by bresser ordered from bresser uk all good.not the dogs to focus but for 180 they work better than spotting using rifle every time easier on the arms .

OP... what do you suggest to buy that has the closest FOV to our vision? I bought a hike Trek brand and it turned out to be 2x

This is still a screen inside and so limited FOV. Don't know the x number, but definitely not the same as your eyes.

You forgot to add the fact your eyes cannot focus on the screen without holding it about a foot away, thus making the rubber eye shield redundant and head mount useless. I bought one of these on your review expecting to be able to hold them to my face like binoculars but you can't, your not giving your viewers a true picture of the unit. I've sent mine back.

I had no problem wearing them on the head and focusing. In fact in the video I shot a pistol like it. Are you sure you used the focus wheel to adjust them ? Granted they are not the most comfortable or practical when worn like this, more of a gimmick really.
