You know how many people persistently confuse those two with each other? Hahaha, and it's one of the few instances I cannot blame them for, they're intensely similar names in every single way. I figured it was a bit of a odd bunching to have one bound for Romania, but I happily accepted it anyway and played along if it was real.

The slippers and the complete breakfast were surprising to see when in a basic cabin, though I'd probably book a Deluxe to get more space and an ensuite toilet. The price, when compared to air travel plus hotel, seems very reasonable, and the train also spares you the ride between the cities and their airports. I'm pleased to hear that this sleeper service is very successful, and I can see why.

3:10 One little addition: The trains that depart between 1am and 4am are local night trains that only drive in the nights from friday to saturday and saturday to sunday. On regular weekdays there are no trains between 1am and 4am. And two other things you didn‘t mention: A thing I think is interesting: As you can see at 3:43 The river Sihl is literally flowing through the Station. The tracks above ground are above the river, while the the Stations of Museumsstrasse and Löwenstrasse are below the river. They had to implement many precautions, cause the Sihl is a river that has a high flood potential and if a flood would occure, it could flood the entire Zürich HB and make it unusable for a while. And the second thing: There actually is a third underground station in Zürich HB: Tracks 21 and 22 belong to the station of the SZU (Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn). It was originally built for the planned subway (which got rejected) and now is start and end point of two S-Bahn-lines: The S10 which goes up to the Uetliberg (would definitely recommend going up there if you are in Zurich. You have a nice view from there and it is an interesting railway line in my opinion) and the S4 which goes to Sihlwald.

Just to point out that the Spanish Renfe Train Hotel sleeper trains also included slippers in their amenity kits, in addition to shaving razor, toothbrush, toothpaste, earplugs, soap, shampoo you name it, all in a beautiful zippered fabric toiletry case. They had great private showers/toilets too. Also, some cabins had tv screens to watch movies from convertible bottom seats. So underrated. A real shame that after covid 19 Renfe had to stop that service. Doubtful they will start running them again as travellers seem to opt for high speed trains these days and slower night trains were losing money.

Videos like this makes me want to take sleeper train around in Europe! I’m loosely planning to take the sleeper train in Sweden from Gothenburg to Kiruna once this pandemic crap has gotten to a point where it’s safe to travel again, I grew up traveling a fair bit in the north and my soul is just longing for the north, but my nowadays disabled self can’t cope with long car rides any longer (used to go north by car and caravan) and you just don’t see much from an airplane, and I can’t sit for very long at a time so sleeper train would be the best of many worlds in a sense. I’ve only been on a sleeper train once (or well, twice as it was two ways) and that was in China between Suzhou in Jiangsu province, and Beijing. I was traveling first class with my ex husband and former in-laws as my former father in law needed to go to Beijing for some business stuff, and as my ex husband and I were in China at the time on vacation, it became a family trip so I could get to see Beijing too. I liked the experience of going by sleeper train, but had some difficulties sleeping on the way to Beijing as it was my first time ever being on a sleeper train and it was so much sounds and the movements of the train that I just wasn’t used to while laying in a bed (upper bunk in a 4 bed “room” in first class) and I was so curious to see things we passed by as well. On the way back from Beijing I slept like a rock though, exhausted from the days in Beijing and more used to the train too so it was easier to relax. Not sure about services on the sleeper train in China, if there’s cafe on board or so as we brought snacks and drinks ourselves to sustain us to our destination, no en suite toilet (think there may have been a sink though) but close to a common toilet and it wasn’t even a squat toilet. Overall it was a pleasant experience and most definitely made me want to try more sleeper trains

Hello Folk! The video was really good as always. I LOVE sleeper trains though I have tried only a single time. This special, environmentally friendly and comfortable way of travelling needs to be supported as you do really well. These videos are one of the best way to make people want to try them. Let me write some little critic/remark! I saw the picture too zoomed at the parts you've recorded in the car and the cabin. Because of that, I couldn't really see the whole cabin. The other thing is at 6:39 those cars are goes to Budapest. (Surely it'd be so cool if they've gone to Bucharest even if that journey would take about 26-28 hrs.) That part of the train contains 1 sleeper, 2 couchette cars and a seating car. In any case, so good video! Keep it up doing these contents! Have a nice evening!

Yes, not a criticism but I believe it would by an improvement if you would briefly introduce yourself at the beginning. There would appear to be some unwritten rule that the hosts of these types of videos do not reveal themselves. While, I can understand not wanting to detract from the product I believe a short introduction explaining who you are and why you make these excellent videos would actually improve them.

If you are traveling through the Zurich train station and coming from some other euro country or from a oversees country make sure you use the restroom on the plane train or at the airport because if you have to ‘go’ in the Zurich station you better have Swiss coins because the restrooms require local coins for entry. I was wondering about the lack of distancing, then I saw the 2018/2019 timetable. Allright. Today's entrance hall of Zürich HB (where the christmas market was) was originally the track hall of the station when built. When enlarging the station later, more tracks were built outside the hall, which then became the ticketing and waiting hall. The station was later expanded by several underground sections. Even though it's now quite large and complex, I still like that you can change trains on relatively short ways, also thanks to a generous pedestrian tunnel connecting all the tracks with direct access to the underground section. The same trainset with double-deck sleeping-cars goes Wien - Zürich - Hamburg - Zürich - Wien in four nights. (Used to go to Berlin but they swapped the trainsets because the demand to Hamburg is higher.) The economy compartments on the doubledeck sleeping-cars are cozy for single travellers. If you are booked with a stranger and both bring a lot of luggage, it can get awkward and I have sometimes seen suitcases standing in front of the compartment door because they wouldn't fit in.

How smart to place additions to train stations underground. Environmentally better as well as saving above ground space.
