It is a tragic thing that happened to the boy, but it's also a tragedy for an elderly man who was trying to defend himself from what seemed like someone trying to break in. It's not right to blame the homeowner, a lot of people would have done the same thing. Or the boy, who made some mistakes but has paid a terrible price for them. There is no real good guy vs bad guy here though some need to see everything in black and white - sometimes literally. Both these persons deserve sympathy for what happened.
