Yep, system needs to change - term limits, age limits (we have minimum but need maximum), and end lobby groups. Doesn't matter what clowns you put in the seats, the results are the same. The system itself is the only way for real change. I'd go as far to tie their compensation packages to the average pay and benefits of constituents in their districts - perhaps then they'll actually be seek change to better American lives.

There are others on the other side who experience cognitive decline in their 30s-40s. The average human is what the law should be written towards - over 70 should not be allowed in the highest position in the country given the data.

Homeless individuals should not be arrested against their will just for the circumstances. Rather we should begin programs with the churches and communities and begin to create houses for these homeless folk and lead a way to help them with a stable job or retirement to support their home and their expenses.

That's good in theory but it doesn't work that way in practice. What happens is that the money that's supposed to go for housing goes to the developers and activists who gave your local politicians campaign money who pocket as much as possible and build as little as possible so they can make greater profits and then recycle the money back to the politician's campaigns. You can never leave that aspect out of any good idea when it's put into practice in this country. Corruption has become our form of government.

I have news for you. The indictment against the police chief of Uvalde is going to go approximately nowhere. Of course, a grand jury indicted him but as they say a grand jury will indict a ham sandwich. The reality is that the federal courts including the Supreme Court have already ruled that police are under no obligation to act to save lives and they shouldn't be. You can't charge someone criminally for not running into gunfire to save another person. These police are human. Do you think you would run through a door where a guy with a rifle is on the other side just waiting for you? Odds are you wouldn't. Most wouldn't. This is another reason why schools should not be gun free zones. Teachers should have the ability to protect themselves and their students. Then it would be the gunman that would have to see if he was brave enough to walk through that classroom door.

I watched Democratic channels after the Debate. They did not spin the situation in any way. They came out and said what a dismal job President Biden did. I am a supporter. And I was terribly upset to watch his performance. He did warm up for the last half and also got in good slams to Trump. Trump appeared extensively confident. However, he lied a lot like he usually does. So even though he spoke fluidly and was confident, he didn't win either because he often didn't answer the questions and instead used the time to slam Biden. Plus, lies don't win according to my principles.

I clicked on your icon to read more comments. Biden held up some arms to Israel because Israel was killing innocent civilians including many children. Biden didn't want our weapons used for that. He wanted to discourage Netanyahu from indiscriminate killing. The Ukraine situation why Trump was impeached is totally different. He held back issuing weapons and money authorized by Congress earlier because he tried to pressure President Zelenskyy to dig up dirt on Biden and to announce this publicly. They are not the same situations. Do you understand now?

He didn't have just one coach. He went for a week to Camp David with several persons to advise him. From what I know, they were very competent people. He also had his attorney practice debating with him playing Trump's part. It was President Biden who messed up. Not the fault of those who prepped him. I have supported him. I was heartbroken 💔 😢 to see the horrible performance he did at that Debate. I was so upset that I didn't want to go out anywhere today. I usually go to city concerts on Fridays. Didn't want to be around people.

As a disabled person, the govt forces me to be in poverty. Disability doesn't provide enough to afford housing or a campground. Its already a Disabilities Act violation and 8th Amendment violation with the penalties for existing on govt disability, and not being able to pay for someone else's profits... Overnight parking bans are not unconstitutional. There's nothing in the Constitution that says anything about parking bans or anything even similar. You do already have the right to life and liberty. Those are what's called negative rights and there are only so many possible negative rights. You want a positive right to park wherever you want for as long as you want and those rights are inherently unlimited. You can go and camp out on BLM land for as long as you want so do it. You just don't get to make somebody else's life in a city worse and expect them to pay for it: It's not their fault that you're disabled.
