Absolutely horrible a 13yr old was killed. But parents/people need to take some responsibility or at the very least not call officers murdering monsters. I'm sure those officers aren't feeling good about it. 10:30 Friday night and pointed a gun at officers. If that is the case then they did Absolutely NOTHING WRONG. They have families and deserved to go home. A replica doesn't change anything. Pointing a gun does.Parents need to take more blame and not look for a payout

I have a replica glock CO2 bb gun, it is not a toy. It is what it's called, a replica. Meaning it is hard to distinguish from a real glock, even by weight, unless you are looking at it at arms length in bright light, and at specific angles. It bares the official glock patent and trade marks. It shoots metal BBs at 410 FPS, so it is lethal. These are used in training, drills, by responsible individuals for shooting targets, I have seen families use them to teach gun safety and have activites while camping, but they are also used by young thugs in muggings and robberies. Running around with one of these at night, pointing it at police, doesn't speak to responsible parents, believe you must be 18 to purchase legally, or innocence.

I remember when I was his age, I knew a lot of kids that had BB guns. There were years in my childhood when, after many years of being satisfied with sticks and cap guns, I suddenly thought about wanting a gun that shot something other than rubber bands. Not a real gun, mind you, but a BB gun, a rifle for sure, exactly what the cowboys had, so I could join them as they rode powerfully across the plains. Some of my friends already had them and a few even had the more powerful version, the “pellet gun”, which shot thick lead pellets. While BB’s couldn’t really hurt you, pellets could and they were far better at staying on target and really kicking a tin can up in the air. One day, as I was shooting into the air, trying to hit a bird, I didn’t actually think that I would kill it. It was one of my saddest days as a child. I covered him up with dirt and said a few words, apologizing to God for what I’d done and quietly left the field. Walking back across the grass to the house, I climbed the back steps. I could feel the cool air of the house coming towards me as I put my BB gun inside the back door, propped in the corner. I washed my milk glass and put it in the rack, and I never picked up my BB gun again.

So Amazon is going to offer counseling to their employees at that location. Yippee for them. Why didn't and why dont they offer child care to their employees in the 1st place. Child care is expensive and can be sketchy at the best of times. That would have stopped this from happening in the first place. Now a child has died, a mother will end up in prison and another family is destroyed. Way to go with more short term thinking.

@@sealyonessIndeed the world is a different place and people lack common sense and discernment. Incredible!!! I watch the news about the horrible flooding. Meteorologists explain the weather systems, local government files for state of emergency… local authorities telling people to stay home and don’t drive through flooded streets … yet you are correct…driving through and getting stranded and putting other peoples safety at risk for dumb decisions!!! Mindsets / mentalities today…EXHAUSTING!

@kenmosburg2445 it's hard to believe that she cares for me because every year we go through this same situation where someone forgets or they figure this child or animal is fine just sitting in a hot vehicle or building without proper air conditioner. Whatever punishment she gets, she deserves. Take the day off and find some child care. What she did is inexcusable.

That is so sad for that little boy but damn. Why are you running? Why dont you drop the “gun” when told to? You would still be here. 😢 Its a tragedy but you cant blame the cops either. 🙏🏼 RIP

I don't blame the police for this tragic death of the 13-year-old boy. No child should be allowed to carry a gun that looks like a real gun. This was a Glock replica, a very dangerous gun in the eyes of the police when he pointed at them while fleeing. I am very sad for his parents, but they are probably the ones who bought the gun for him. A replica like that would not have been cheap.
@W1LDF0X-773 ай бұрын
Maybe replica guns should be discontinued? So something like this won’t happen again

@RonWatson-ze5xs Exactly. My mom didn't buy me any toy guns, and she didn't allow me to play with toy guns. When I was thirteen-years-old, I had to be in the house by 9:00 p.m., or else.

NO NO NO AND NO. THIS IS A CULTURAL THING. NO CHILD IN THE '40S AND '50S THAT PLAYED COWBOYS AND INDIANS EVER WANTED TO KILL ANYBODY AND NEVER EVER EVER WOULD HAVE EVER EVER DISOBEY A POLICE OFFICER. THE CULTURE NEEDS TO CHANGE! IF THE CULTURE DOES NOT CHANGE THIS WILL KEEP ON HAPPENING. IT IS THE PARENTS' OR GUARDIANS' RESPONSIBILITY TO FEED CLOTHE AND KEEP A ROOF OVER A KID'S HEAD AND HAVE THEM IN BED AT A DECENT HOUR BUT NO ALL CULTURES DON'T DO THIS DO THEY? THIS IS THE ISSUE. IT'S JUST THAT NOBODY WANTS TO ADMIT IT. MY SON PLAYED WITH TOY GUNS MY SON HAS REPLICA GUNS MY SON WOULD NEVER EVER BE OUTSIDE THAT LATE NOR WOULD HE EVER DISOBEY AN OFFICER NOR WOULD HE EVER RUN AWAY FROM AN OFFICER BECAUSE HE WOULDN'T BE DOING ANYTHING TO JUSTIFY RUNNING FROM AN OFFICER. IT'S CULTURE OR MAYBE IT'S LACK OF CULTURE I DON'T KNOW BUT IT BETTER STOP OR WE'RE JUST GOING TO SEE MORE AND MORE AND MORE OF THIS AND IT'S NOT THE POLICE'S FAULT!!!!!!
