Oh wow! The Freedom Monument Sculpture Park is a powerful depiction of slavery, with its dramatic sculptures of families torn asunder by the slave trade, as they're auctioned off. Then the "Act Prohibiting the Importation of Slaves" took effect in 1808." The second country in the history of the world to make the import of slaves illegal. The first was the British. History must be remembered and taught,espically painful or shameful history lest we make the same mistakes again and again. Germany faces it's shameful past and doesn't sweep it under the rug. America must have the courage and wisdom to do the same. Do they have a virtual tour for those who cannot afford to make the trip? The U.S. needs to butt out of Israeli decisions. We are not the boss of them; they are an independent state, and they are not the reason for failure for the PA to distribute aid. In fact, Israrel has provided generators and supplies to the hospitals themselves.
