I so loved this The hammock reminds me of Steve the guy in Canada who stealth camps in crazy places. Sadly his wife passed away in her sleep, but he sleeps in a tree hammock and they do look so comfy. Quicker to put away than a tent and much lighter to carry.

Walked around Pluckley once. Talked to an old couple on a footpath about its history & the supposed hauntings. The man said he had lived there for 27 years, never saw or heard a thing. He did mention though the last man who owned the wood - Lord Dering - got into gambling debt, “went mad” & the country estate opposite the woods went down in a fire in the 50s. Good video

Here in the US, we have to put all digestible products in a bag tied up in a tree. We had someone killed by a bear who only had chewing gum in her tent.. Love to see more camping adventures. Use to camp as a Girl Scout and young adult. I've gotten soft and it is a lot of work. Loved the hanging tent. I admire you adventurous spirits!

The Rab sleeping bag is a brilliant investment, you won't regret it! I have had my 4 season duck down bag for 22 years, and it's still as good now at keeping me warm as it was when I got it. Only issue is the duck down bunches up into certain parts of the bag, but give it a good shake and it's fine. I love my Rab! Hope you enjoys yours Lou and get lots of use from it. Great video BTW.

That was pretty tame for wild camping. Hopefully there will be more camping opportunities in the future. A few extra bits of kit for comfort make all the difference. A pillow. And make sure you mat is good quality. I recommend an Exped Down 7 or 9. Great depth of filling, perfect for side sleepers or those who like hip padding to be substantial. I also like to have ear plugs in, to block out rustling of animals or wind. Being in the woods is fun.

just found you guys, one of your recent videos in the South West of Scotland, loved it because that is where I live, awesome to see Ayr and yes Renaldo's do brilliant ice cream. I used to camp a lot when I was younger, and as I got older would dream of having a van. Unfortunately it never happened and sadly my health has declined..old age doesn't come alone lol. I just got back yesterday after 6 days in the woods of Northern Ontario - tent camping in 2 degree weather isn't for the fainthearted lol! Double and triple layers of clothing as well as sleeping bags! But worth every shiver because as you said Lou - you're right in it as apposed to being in a hard shell. I did see one of those hammock tents while out there but you couldn't pay me to do that in bear country. Great video and it was great to have two videos of yours to watch while I recuperate and get warm again! Oh and Happy Birthday!

Interesting as you said you don't have all the kit tents sleeping bags we had big sleeping bag zipped together so her flagship and I stayed warm from our body heat. Good show. Feel that this is more inspirational for us novices than those straight up camping/bush crafting channels. Bravo to Emily for agreeing to get out there and still willing to do more of it.
