I bleached my hair for the first time last week and was shocked that it turned a peachy-red instead of the yellow/golden that I keep seeing on KZbin. Then I realized I had to bleach twice to reach a level 7 or 8.

Omg, that shampoo chair - I love it. I’m a disabled veteran, lots of back and neck issues, when I see these at any hairdresser I make sure to thank them personally. Those chairs are crazy expensive, and that small accommodation means folks like me don’t have to suffer through these appointments. I adore you, Guy ~ what you do with color is an incredible inspiration. Color can be so empowering - and fun.

Every time I go to the salon..they can NEVER achieve my hair to this color in ONE session. They can't even lighten my hair to that level! They would always say Asian hair is hard lift and bla bla bla...meanwhile people in Cali know what they are doing on dark hair to get it lift to that level of blonde. They ALWAYS tell me I will need about 7-8 session to have blonde in my hair. And I'm on KZbin and Instagram looking at a lot of videos of people achieving the blonde shade color in ONE SITTING. And what sucks is MOSt of them resides in California. I just guess it depends on how experience they are. I feel like I have really stubborn hair where the copper just want to hang on in my hair. Guy Tang gives me HOPE that I can have blonde in my hair and I am really trying still.

Cherry Luong Those salons fear their lack of experience & spending too much time on one client. Bleach, tone, color, condition, condition, condition .... and don’t shampoo often. Many forget to tone the yellow out if they want pastel colors. Good luck!
