mononeon is one of those rare players who truly is changing music.. like on the level of Monk. Seeing so many players ingest his vocabulary and wild fills is great.. his ideas are going to really influence a lot of players in ways few musicians have in a long time.

You are right Timothy, Mono is something special (It's too bad he couldn't play more with Prince, because even Prince was a giant of music and between the two could have been something incredible). Listen to the whole stuff on those live videos with "Ghost Note" and you realize how high is the level. I've been lucky to see Mono live this winter in a club - That man is full of ideas. Thanks for watching and keep going!

This is my fave Knower song right now and the little Mono fills have been giving me fits to learn, it was so helpful to show your process in transcribing and that I am not alone in the struggle! Super appreciative! Love your stuff, keep it up!

bravo Matteo ottima trascrizione come sempre, e pezzo interessante e pieno di trappole come sempre con Mononeon , il fatto che ha le corde al contrario rende tutti i fill un rompicapo.

Grazie mille Mario! Infatti MonoNeon fa degli interventi quasi irrealizzabili e spesso devo ottimizzare i passaggi per cercare di avvicinarmi al massimo al suo linguaggio...Lui comunque ha un talento pazzesco!!!

That stutter step thing during the outro drives me crazy...it looks like 2 measures of 6/8 according to your notation? I love it!!

the outro from about 3:30 is in 4/8…then there’s the part where they do 2 measures of 6/8 I think

@@fishstickkitty8068hi again, well I wrote it down all in 4/4 - from the beginning to the end - note that all the code is more shuffle and the sensation brings you more in a triplet feel , but it’s still 4/4 or at least 12/8 😊

@@Matesp Ok thank you for your response...I'm seeing 2 measures of 6/8 at 4:35 (typical) in your notation then back to straight 8/8 but maybe I'm not counting it correctly :) I'm no mononeon, louis cole or MrMatesp :)

@@samprakos I understand now what you mean : What's happening on those two bars is a typical 3 on 4 accent - very common in jazz music - It is just a way to interplay with 4/4 considering the shuffle feeling - My notation is in sixteenth notes, but you could write it down in 12/8 or eights notes with double feel - but it's harder to make it a part with the other score - I prefer to write " more shuffle feel" or "swing eights".

Yes mon ami, je suis gaucher mais, hélas j'ai été forcé de jouer droitier quand je faisais de la guitarre classique (vers 13 ans) - Merci pour ton soutient constant!
