What I like about Gino stream is he always emphasizes the mini punishment available in each boss fight, dodge left or right, strafing or not, fight the left or right side, the small but significant movements and discipline to consistently maintain and counter the boss RNG is fun for me to watch. Becoming more of a symphony rather than a fight, each boss has their own melody.

you can thank distortion for finding these types of things. The guy has optimized the game so well that others look to him for know exactly how to destroy each boss. Gino is great at that and theres a few others. Though I'm tired of watching non DLC content way before now. I still like the videos and leave a comment.

Maybe Gideon's blackflame is like the deathbird's explosion where it "points" towards a specific direction no matter what, and he doesn't sit at the complete centre of it. Meaning that in some directions he ends up being closer to the border and that puts you in the hitbox when you backstab. EDIT: Just realized you go investigate it further into the video

Well, the godskin peeler and stitcher both have the twisted ends. Same as the Godslayer Greatsword. Wouldn’t be far fetched at all to consider that the gloom eyed queen with her own unique godskin weapon. Independent of the stitcher or peeler.

@ 1:53:00 when you're talking about the random Gideon hit, the whole idea of the backstab critical is the "I Frames" you get whilst you do it! (Backstab = enemies can't hurt you until the animation is complete) as in every souls game! I believe the Gideon fight is bugged, because whether or not you were standing in the flames, you were in the animation and shouldn't have received the damage at all, anyway! Love everything you stand for, my guy! keep doing what you're doing! :)
