I went from being yelled at by elderly women for not having a mask on on the street in Italy, to flying to Sweden where no one was wearing a mask. At one point I took a flight and it was just me and 5 other passengers on the plane. There was more crew than passengers. I can't believe they even flew the plane. No way it could've been profitable. The hotels were not full, usually they only receive couples who will spend a couple of hours there👀, so they can rent the same room several times in the same night. That's why you only got a room when you were accompanied by someone else. By the way, in that part of the city there are people who party all night until 6:00am.

Only if we knew each other, I could’ve made a better plan. I’ve been to Tijuana plenty of times and learn something new every time. It would’ve been easier to pay for a budget airliner such as Frontier to San Diego and make sure you get there early evening or afternoon.Make sure you book a hotel room online first though before the plane trip. Once you arrive at the San Diego airport, take a free shuttle to Old Town to hop on the blue line trolley for only $2.50. Once you arrive at San Ysidro, exchange your dolllars into pesos, then cross. The hotel(s) I usually stay at are Cascadas and Rizo de Oro which costs around $70 on weeknights.

How would you even measure that? I mean in the UK it was obvious by just wearing a mask in a room the infection rate was lowered. It’s simple science. Californians might be dicks but masks were making a difference to infection way before Covid. There’s a reason doctors have always worn them in mass population countries. 😓 Social media has ruined the human race. The fact you actually think masks weren’t useful says it all.@@Skepticismistheway

One of the safest hotels is Cascadas which is part of club Hong Kong who have the best security of anywhere in the Zona. You'll be close to all the action and have a nice safe room. @@richardweiler6931 thanks Richard so you wouldn’t recommend traveling solo? What if I stayed in San Diego and took a taxi to Tijuana ? Or is it better to stay in Tijuana hotel ?
@richardweiler6931 Жыл бұрын
@@robbyx6846 I don't want you to think that Tijuana is the gateway to hell. Most visitors come to the city and never encounter a single problem. If you stay in the Avenida Revolucion tourist zone, the chances of encountering trouble are very very slim. But I've visited there for decades, so I stray off the straight and narrow path away from Revolucion. That's where money hungry cops will often spot you, stop you, search you and then claim that you committed some imaginary infraction that necessitates a fine or a trip to jail. It probably is better to have a companion if you're planning on walking beyond the tourist streets. Cops are less likely to hastle people in pairs. On Revolucion, being alone is fine. Cops never bother you there. A taxi ride from San Diego to the border is fairly expensive. Downtown San Diego is about 16 miles from the international border. You'll have to walk over since the taxis don't cross into Mexico. You'll also need a passport or passport card or else Mexican customs agents will demand $20-$30 as an administrative fee (AKA bribe). It's okay to stay in Tijuana around Revolucion. A nice hotel that just opened is Hotel Grand One Plaza on 5th street just off of Revolucion. Rooms run about $100 on weekends and $65 on weekdays. Other cheaper options are close by including Caesar's hotel at the corner of Revolucion and 5th. Rooms there are about $55. Best to make reservations for the weekend as hotels in downtown Tijuana fill up quickly.
