So my feet always get cold,whether I have socks on,or it’s summer time,etc... Well my former neighbor had the sweetest most lovable dog I’d ever come across,and for years EVERY single time I was over there whether I was standing or sitting their dog would come straight to me and lay on my feet.They would always say she never did that to/with anyone else. Even if I got up to use the bathroom or went to another room,she would follow me,wait for me outside the door or for me to stand still for a min or sit down again and she would lay her belly on my feet. When I heard she died some years ago I cried like an 8 year old little girl for a few min,lol.

And it's critical to have your dog on a perfect recall command as well! Our puppy Connie slipped passed me out the front door and headed outside where the gate was unopen (wretched mailman didn't close it), outside that is the highway, Connie was just 8 months (now 9 months old) and trotting off exploring so I gave her the recall command and quickly brought her back inside, if she didn't have that recall she'd have been dead.

I empathize with the older lady in the last story and can understand why she keeps to herself. She's lived awhile and has most likely been through a lot and probably doesn't trust people anymore. Also, maybe she doesn't leave the house because she has mobility issues or doesn't have a vehicle. Perhaps most or all of her friends and relatives have passed, so she has nowhere to go *to* besides grocery stores and dr appointments. My cat did something similar to the last story. Everything is all chill it was about 9 PM and I was playing my Xbox as usual my mom wasn’t home she had some business trip to do as she knew my 13yr old self was ok with being alone. Everything was all chill I was on my cat was just staring at the door sitting on the ground just staring then he followed from where the door is too near my room which was on the opposite side of the house, he started just clawing at the door so I open the door he ran up and jumped on my bed and was just staring out the window from the window seat. As I moved over the curtains more and found some strange guy walking in the yard instinctively I shut the windows shut the door and grabbed my phone and my cat followed me into the bathroom as I called my mom she said try and wait it out if you hear anything else call the police. As I knew about the pocket knife that was taped to the top of the drawer in the bathroom I grab that as I knew that one too much against a gun but it was something. I kept checking the time 905 930 my cat was just sitting there staring at me I was panicking but stayed quiet. Then I heard the living room door being twisted like someone was trying to open it then a loud slam but the door is still shut, I ended up staying up all night I never found out who that man was or his intentions.

I feel bad for the older lady in the third story. She literally thought that there were demons down below. In a sense, she was right. If she was hearing things from the floor in her bedroom, why wouldn't she check the crawlspace? She had to have known about it's existence, she put the rug down on top of the opening to it. Unless someone else laid the rug there for her and didn't tell her that it was there. Unlikely though because she would've seen it when she looked at the house before buying it. Sounds like Chester got the sent of some bad men around, went on the attack, and probably ended up getting killed seeing he never came back. I doubt he got lost, I used to have a pup that was never tied on and just let outside freely. He'd go out for his run and always come back. So my guess is Chester was killed by the man or men in the woods, or some kind of trap. I dunno what happened to Hazel, it sounds like the man in the basement actually took that dog. Logically we have to assume Hazel like Chester was killed, but I dunno why the man would take the body.

Suutari4 Killing a dog would mean a loud wailing screeching sound which anyone would be able to hear let alone in the woods at night so no, Chester most likely got lost and never found the caretaker or owner. My friend and I were dog sitting one day at his cousins house, we were home alone all night because his dad worked all night. It was around 11pm when we had to take the dog out one last time. My friend told me to come outside with him because he was scared since we were in the middle of the woods. We were outside and I was messing with him by making noises and all that. He started getting mad so I stopped and just stood on the porch and waited. A few minutes later we heard a stick break in the woods and we could hear someone walking in there, we both ran inside and locked the doors. We closed all the blinds and made sure every door was locked. We sat in the living room for at least an hour trying to figure out what to do. We decided to not call his dad and just play video games to clear our minds. We played video games for an hour or so and then we decided to check the cameras once we weren’t so scared. We went through the footage and saw a tall black figure walk out of the woods and run through the front of the house, turning on the motion sensor lights. It was a tall bulky person in all black. Till this day we still believe the mans intention was to break in

Dogs...AND cats... pretty much all animals always know when evil is present. That can be an evil human or another form of evil they will always let you know. Just be in tune with animals around you and you'll know what to do. Plus generally being growled at her his dad will deter that being.
