my dog was sat outside the living room last night when me and my family were sat in there (4 of us). the other dog was guarding his bone because he’s like that. they’re sprocker spaniels a cross between a cocker and a springer and are only small but teds a beast. he knew something was wrong and when the adverts came on the tv when the programme i was watching finished i went to get some food from the kitchen and ted followed me and then he sat outside the door that went from the kitchen to the garage and then i looked in and someone was poking their head through the cat flap so ted charged at him and he ran away and luckily ted was too big so he couldn’t chase him and we have a police officer on our street so we got him and they donny who was looking through the cat flap was just some proper clapped guy on crack and was trying to fit through lolllllllll

This is why I have several dogs. They are the best security system. They can sense even when something is outside your house. My dogs have saved me from dangerous situations more than a few times. Even a small dog can alert you to something even if they can't fight someone off. At least they can sound an alarm by barking. Chihuahuas are great for noise makers. Paired up with a Pit or a Rottie or any large dog makes a great security system.

Our dog is REALLY protective of our 2 year old, so much so he'll almost continuously bark at someone we know but he doesn't know even if they're just getting up to use the restroom. A lot of dogs have really good instincts and then there are dogs that have good instincts and are just incredibly protective of their people in general.

On it's own the dog has a better chance of finding it's way back home then a kid does, that and I would imagine you'd be pretty shaken up after almost being snatched up as a little kid, in short blame the dumb parents for making their 10yr walk there dog alone in a snow strom. Also do keep in mind that yeah the kid was 10, that's super fucking young and he would stand no chance against a grown ass adult man.

Jesse’s owner however is a coward who ran way leaving his dog in danger without even giving a recall command on his way back to let him know that it’s time to head home. The thing that makes dogs so amazing when it comes to protection is the fact that they can sense a persons intentions and presence, if a dog hears a man following their owner they can easily sense what the man is up to, if the man is also just out for a walk, the dog will continue on their way, but if the man is planning to hurt the owner in any way, the dog will not continue until the man is gone
