Something about house sitters abandoning the houses when something spooky is going on just kinda bugs me. Your safety is of the utmost importance, but you WERE hired to watch over a household and deter/prevent intrusion in the absence of the owners. You’re not being hired to just lounge around someone else’s house otherwise a dog or cat with an automatic feeder could do it for them. Usually people have reasons for needing a house sitter instead of just leaving it unguarded, so y’all gotta watch out and expect anything in a place you’re not perfectly familiar with.

I was house sitting at my best friends house because they were out of town. There was supposed to be no one in the house so when I heard a loud thud, I immediately felt unease. There were no cameras or anything that I could check so I was left with the option of investigating it myself. If I didn’t get closure on the issue I would have panicked and probably would have had a mental breakdown. There were 3 stories in this house so there were a lot of places I needed to check. I avoided checking the basement because of common sense so I was left with checking the first and second story. I was smoking marijuana prior to the incident so I was a little more paranoid than normal. I went over to the basement door and locked it so if there was anything in there, at least it would be stuck. I went over to check all the doors and to my surprise, there was an unlocked door, the back sliding glass door. My paranoia quickly turned justified and my heart started racing. I started checking every room, first the bathroom, then the bedroom, then the kitchen, you get the idea. After finding nothing I decided to go upstairs. I began checking every room up there as well. First the bathroom again and then her bedroom. I slowly opened the door and my heart dropped. The bathroom connected to her rooms light was on. I slowly went to open the bathroom door and there was a man. “Nice tits” he said, I screamed and quickly grabbed the 3 ft, 10 pound bong on my friends desk and hit him with it. It was the scariest moment of my life, police couldn’t find the culprit but my friend ended up getting arrested for possession of marijuana and meth.

I have a hella scary story from a school lockdown I was in the fifth grade it was a normal day and I was in music we were just singing a song then the intruder alert came on. Thinking it was a drill we all went over and just kinda started talking To each other. Seconds turned into minutes and we had been sitting there for about 15 min. They usually on lasted like 5 min so it was kinda odd. That’s when the teacher went and shut the blinds and had some students help her push some cases in front of the door. She was handing out things to throw in case. That’s when I started to freak out along with my friends. After about 30 minutes they finally announced it was clear. I didn’t know what had happened until I got home. My mom had gotten a email that said one of the teachers step sons threatened to come and kill her so We had to go on lockdown. That is still one of the scariest days I have ever gone through

These stories creep me out and fascinate me at the same time I love it xD That last one is why I have a knife on me 27/7. That bastard would have been stabbed in the gut no questions asked. Was working with this guy I'd only know for two months at the time (Turns out he was a really creep and pervert) ended up on a job out of town and he got us only one hotel room. I had my hand on my knife at all times and would wake up every time he moved. Only reason he never touched me as it turns out, was because he knew I was armed and wasn't afraid to use my knife that and my sister warned him never to touch me. She knew him for awhile. Towards the end of my employment with him, he started to get more creepy and perverted, I would work with all three knives hidden on my person. My smallest and "in case of dire need knife" is a small pocket knife I use on the farm. That one was hidden in my boot. You could say I'm very paranoid.
