Mr. William Connor, whose own blind hatred is about to catapult him into the darkest corner of the Twilight Zone."

Jennifer Warnes is one of the biggest stars that nobody knows. She had two number one duets ("Up Where We Belong" with Joe Cocker and "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" with Bill Medley), had hits with songs such as "Right Time of the Night", "I Know A Heartache When I See One" and "I'm Dreaming", and sang back-up for Roy Orbison in his "Black & White Night" show. She also toured extensively with Leonard Cohen and starred in the original L.A. production of "Hair". One of the best vocalists in the business, this should have been another huge hit for her.

@@walterpewen7903 How about the fact that Vic Morrow had a premination that he would die in a helicoper crash and is it a coincidence that the pilot of the aircraft turned the helicoper to 180 dregrees. The number 180 and the fact that Vic Morrow said he had a premination he would die in a helicoper crash is some serious foreshadawing not to mention the opening shot before his character goes into the bar there is a sign that says TRAPPED. Just like his character at the end of his segment in the movie. He is trapped in a cargo box calling to his friends from the bar who can't see him! The scene that didn't make it into the film was to redeem himself of being a bigot and saving the two children. 🤔🚁🎥🎎

Lyrics. (Verse 1) Faceless voices talking... Smoky rings of sweet lies... Strangers selling stories... No one really buys... Through the neon starlight... Women watch the men move... Through the broken music... On what they need to prove... (Refrain) Nights are forever... When you have no one... But nights are forever... When you're just tryin' to hang on. (Verse 2) Standin' with his shadow... Starin' holes in my clothes... We both know what's comin'... This is how the game goes... (Refrain) Nights are forever... When you have no one... But nights are forever... When you're just tryin' to hang on. (Verse 3) All your love is all I want... You to feel... Love me like we only have this night to live. (Instrumental break) (Verse 4) Dancin' makes me hungry... Lyin' bores me to tears... Let's just take each other... The way we appear. (Refrain) Nights are forever... When you have no one... But nights are forever... When you're just tryin'... To hang on. (Instrumental break to fade)

"Nights are forever when you have no one" playing in the background while Vic's Bill Conner character spewse his ugly racist tirade makes me feel he had no wife? Maybe divorced? Sad individual. As despicable as the character Bill was, he still was a human being. Vic inspired heartfelt pity in me watching his last portrayal in that tumultuous role. He gave his life for movies & tv literally. There is still a shadow over the Twilight Zone film because of the deaths that occurred. This piece by Warnes probably would have gotten more play if it were otherwise. It's a fantastic piece of music, but she does not list it in her repertoire, out of respect I would suspect. It still holds up as a very good song.

OK, I'll try that site. Yeah, I have a few of them from 1983 and 1984, somewhere. On one of the 1983 charts, the #1 song is "All This Time" by DeBarge, so that's apparently a survey from circa July. The other one that I can think of off the top of my head has "All Time High" by Rita Coolidge at the top, so that's a late summer one. Yeah, Q102 was a great station, indeed.
