Beauty and the Beast is my favourite fair tale story. And why I love it so much. It's because it took 1 person to show him kindness. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite, too. Especially in the older fairy tale, before the Disney version. Because I always thought the Beast was such a beautiful character, so lonely and so full of love to give. I like it! I like this version of the famous fairy tale more than the original. Excellent script and voice acting. I also really like the art. I feel a lot in common with how the lamia art looks. I like your style. Your monster girls seem more mature, calm and elegant. These are already monster ladies. And I like calmer cold tones. I'd be interested in seeing more of your art in the future. To be honest, for me the main drama in this story will be completely different. You see, I like her exactly this way. Those scales, those eyes... ah. And considering how loving and sweet she is, I would inevitably fall in love with her. The drama however is that she will turn into a human, but I liked her much more as a monster because I am a monster lover. Thank you.
@anacristinasilva4757 Жыл бұрын
"Loving" and "sweet" , is it ? Are we not reading the same story ? Or do you also think kidnapping someone and locking them in your basement is romantic ? 😅
@Monster_Lover Жыл бұрын
@@anacristinasilva4757 “Loving” and “sweet” are absolutely correct. I read your comment. It's great that you've learned about the term Stockholm Syndrome, but in my humble opinion you're focusing too much on it. The main thing in this story is [Enemies to More]. Because this script writer loves stories where there are these difficult relationships between enemies becoming lovers. And this is exactly why everything has been done here. The listener and she were enemies, but she has feelings and hopes to awaken feelings in the listener as well. As for me personally, I would not become her enemy in the first place. For me, this is just a beautiful monster girl who loves me. Love is what is most important for me here. The contrast between the external, deceptive, and the internal, true. Contrasting the cover of a book with its essence. Contrasting actions and their motives. You are fixated on the actions themselves, but I personally am more interested in the motives and essence. I'm interested in what motivates the characters. For example, the “friends” of the listener. They fought together and on the surface appeared to be friends, but their real essence is that they will easily betray their ally and friend for personal gain. Or this Beast who keeps us in her castle and exchanged her rose for a listener. At first glance, it seems that she simply selfishly deprived the listener of freedom. But the point is that she does it out of love. Is she punishing the listener? Maybe she is torturing the listener? Does she treat the listener badly? No, she compliments and kisses the listener. She gave up something incredibly valuable for this opportunity. As for your question, do I think kidnapping someone and locking them in a basement is romantic, no, I don't think it's romantic. But the motives for such actions may be different. In addition, it is very important to separate the real world and the world of fictional stories. And I think this is your problem. This is simply a fictional story that was created with only one purpose - to entertain. If it doesn't entertain you, then don't force yourself to listen to it. As for the original fairy tale, as in any fairy tale, a lot of things are exaggerated in it in order to simply convey some kind of instructive moral or to scare or warn about something. Many old fairy tales, especially in their original unedited form, are very dark, scary, cruel and unfair. And this is why they are valuable in their own way. Fairy tales prepare people for the fact that the world is not a land of rainbows and unicorns and bad things can happen whether you like it or not. Life in general is often very cruel and unfair. Have a good day.

@@Monster_Lover First of all, you mister/miss or whatever it is you go by, you have my respect, truly. It is very rare that I get reply like this, so completely and well-made. So many thanks for taking the time to do it. I enjoy messing with people almost as much as I enjoy receiving responses like these. (A head up, I'm gonna make my reply with a very "real" tone to it, so I'm sorry if I say something that offends you on personal level.) Now for my reply, you say that I focus to much on "real world" aspect of thing and in all honesty, you're not wrong. There are many story that I enjoyed as kid that I'm no longer able to since now I always try to see from "real" point of view. I wouldn't really called it a problem, but I get your point. On the other hand, you seem to have the exact opposite "problem". You're so focus in the meaning behind the action that you seem to disregarding the action itself. You claim to be more focus on the motives and essence in contrast the character actions. Well then, let's do just that. Motives: The Beast has no intention of hurting the listener; she merely wish to love and be loved in return by them; and she was willing to give up part of herself for the oportunity. These are her motives behind of what she did. This is how you see it, right ? Actions: She bought the listener like they were a something that could be bought to begin it; she wish to keep them against their will, isolated from everyone and everything outside the castle; she forced her "love" on them, maybe not by physical means, but intends to do so nonetheless(like you read about in my comment); and show that she willing to give up a part of herself to get what she wants. This is what she did. This how I see it. My take on her essence is that she willing to whatever it takes to get what she want. Kinda like their friends, right ? Now, based on your reply, you seem to believe that there no such thing as undesired love (I'm giving you the benefit of and assume that you only apply that believe to stories) and that love can justify everything, regardless of how one-sided that love is. You see her giving up one of her roses as something romantic. That could have the case if she was doing it to save their life or as a show of dedication to convince them to stay with her. However, both scenarios the listener would have the ability to refused, or a very least not be force to stay. Otherwise, is no different than giving your to devil to get the ability to charme someone you want. I have seen many [Enemies to More] stories and they don't have to be like this. In fact, the best ones, in my opinion, are the ones they truly despise (not necessarily in equal amount) and because of situation they are in, whatever it may be, they slowly get to know one other and get over their problem. My problem with this story isn't that she bought them or that she is keeping stuck them in her castle or even the clear power imbalance. I have these themes before and can work to make a good story. The problem is her complete disregard for the as a person while at the same time, she has a obsession in making them fall in love with her. Motives can not justify actions, but action can be good or bad, regardless of the motives behind them. I do enjoy this stories because they always bring people to mess it or interesting to talk to. Though, I didn't actually listened to the story, I could stand it so I read instead. One last advice. As good as the "Don't judge a book by its cover" can be, sometime you should just take things at face value.
@anacristinasilva4757 Жыл бұрын

@@anacristinasilva4757 1. Try not to assume too much about people you don't know. 2. Don't give advice to strangers who haven't even asked you about it. 3. It's normal when you discuss the video. When you start getting personal and discussing people, you are crossing the line. 4. Sometimes people are not naive at all, but just relax. Knowing when is the right place and time to be serious and when not is a good quality. Do you want to be real? OK. One person wrote the script. She spent her time on this. Another person voiced it all and edited the audio and drew the art and posted it in the public domain without requiring payment for it. This is one of those channels that I appreciate. I appreciate the voice skills and care in choosing scripts. I respect the person behind this channel. I listened and wrote a comment. I tried to write something not negative. I wrote something that seemed light-hearted, even humorous to me. Can I see all the problems and shortcomings? Easily. Do I want to write about them in the comments? No, I don't see the point in this. I try to take something good out of it and move on. The way I would act in reality and the way I allow myself to relax listening to made-up stories are two different things. To be completely honest, I'm not at all interested in stories like [Enemies to More]. Because if someone did something so outstanding and bad that I could consider this someone even my enemy, then this will never change for me. Enemies are simply those with whom I will avoid contact if possible, I am not interested in either fighting enemies or becoming friends with them. I'd rather spend my time on good people who did something good for me. Fortunately, there are such people. I'm also not at all interested in being kidnapped or being controlled or anything like that. And one of the reasons why I appreciate this channel is that such stories are rare here, or there is something besides this, something that makes the story interesting and unusual. And so you come and start all this. Why are you doing it? I didn’t write my comment just to see all this, it’s just pointless what you’re doing for so many reasons. Don't bother me anymore, I don't like you and I won't answer you in the future.

That is always the part of the original fairy tale that I found hardest to deal with. That the beast makes a trade for Beauty like she's a possession to be given away. But then I think about how no one would ever choose to stay with them of their own will, and how their very life depends on someone loving them, and it's harder to hate the beast for it, even though it's wrong. That's my feeling about the classic fairy tale, anyway. Since I didn't write this one, I don't know exactly what this Beast's situation is. But you're right, it's certainly... shall we say, *problematic* of her to trade for a human being.

It is funny. I liked this story as a child and yet as a adult, it make feel sick. This story is full of monsters that are view in a better light than they deserve. The witch that curse the Beast feel that she had the right to do so just because he refused to open the door to a very shady old lady who had no right to demand that of him to begin it. Then not only did she give this unfair punishment to him, but to everyone that worked for him, regardless of the fact they had no choice in the matter. The Beast, in comparison, is not that bad, but by no mean good. The Beast is a victim became like their abuser, since just like the witch, he give punishment that are not suited for the crime. The Beast keeping Bella as prisoner even if it is as part of the bargain they both agreed to, is just plain awfull since it was the only choice Bella had if she wanted to save her dad. While the monster, in his view, wasn't wrong in keeping her dad in his prison since he did invaded his home and nearly took the Beast most precious possession which would have killed everyone in the castle ( this wasn't exactly what was happening, but was how the Beast saw it), it was still a very unfair position he placed Bellla in, simply because he refused to listen to what actually happen. Bella falling in love with him could be seen as either she managing to see his real self and the power of love .... or stockholm syndrome. In this version of the tale, the Beast fits her name far better. Not because of her appearance, but because of her actions. In the original, the Beast didn't take Bella against her will and it was his servants that had the ideia of trying to make her fall in with him. His actions while bad and selfish, came off as desperate from having spent so much time stuck looking monster as a form of unjustify punishment; his time running out and his life not being the only one on the line. However in the version, the Beast action came off as manipulative; selfish and obsessive. She isn't some poor fool that got cursed as she herself admit it, she did it to herself. Her "Bella" didn't chosed sacrifice themself as part of bargain, or a least not where they had a choice. They were betrayed and sold like they were a object and the Beast isn't any better than their so called friends since she was who accepted the bargain. She didn't even tried to go romance route, instead she just going straight up for stockholm syndrome since she made it clear that she intends to never let them go.
