You work at a spa with a decidedly monstrous clientele. Today, you're helping a very large naga warrior to relax after her battle. Despite her intimidating appearance, you're about to discover that she's very kind... and far more vulnerable than she lets on.

Nightshade's notes: I got very detailed with the sfx this time around, and it took me an extremely long time! I don't know how some people manage to crank out audios in just a few hours. Well, I guess I do - they probably don't nitpick about exactly where to place each little splash sound, or continue to add in things that feel like they're missing (but most people might not even notice) up until the last minute. It was not a fast process, but I'm so very pleased with the final product.
I think it should be obvious, but all footsteps in the audio are the listener’s. The naga only slithers. As nagas do.
I was sick about 2-3 weeks ago, and I'm much recovered now! But there is still an extra hoarseness in my voice. Luckily, I think it works well for a battle-hardened character like this, and for the characters I've been voicing recently.
If you noticed the "part one" in the title - yes, that's right! There's at least one more part to this, and I've already got plans to record part two!

i really loved this one. i love Lamia's and Naga's, but this story had a lot in it. a slow but enjoyable paise that sets the mood, the soft gentle voices and music and the understanding of the characters feelings really set the whole story. to want or wanting to be close to someone is not just by looks, its how they act and treat you. and keeping things professional in places of work with others is very respectful but letting someone know how you feel should never be unsaid.

I *really* liked it! Working in a spa for monsters... yeah, I could easily be that listener. I like the listener character here, although there wasn't much about the listener, but this listener is one that I like. Someone calm, kind and good at what they do. It seems like nothing special, but such listeners are rare. I love this snake lady warrior. And not even because I like monster girls, but her personality is much more important. I just like her. She has a calmness and maturity that I value much more than temperament and passion. She has both her own dignity and the ability to be respectful. She is capable of being kind. She is able to see and appreciate the kindness shown to her. There is also something very subtle about this warrior lady that is difficult to describe in one word. That’s the moment when they started talking about her past and she gently asked to talk about something more pleasant. I especially remember this moment. She did not run away from her past and was not afraid to talk about it and did not make a drama out of it. Perhaps this can also be called maturity. At the same time, she is not afraid to both show off her strong qualities and laugh at her weak ones. There is no excessive modesty in her, but there is also no excessive arrogance or narcissism. She seems like someone with whom you can become a true friend in the fullest sense of the word. Well, or she can become the best wife... and a close, loyal friend at the same time. Which is not such a common occurrence in life. I really like the art. This look and facial features suit her very well. Oh and you did an amazing job adding sounds. I read the description, so I listened very carefully. The music was also a nice touch and combined with the steam effect in the video and the story itself and the way you played all the emotions with your voice, it all came together to create such a nice and relaxing feeling. This script is amazing. Huge thanks to the person who created this. And thank you for bringing this to life beautifully. Your voice and emotions sounded very suitable for this character. This series probably hooked me the most and I’m really looking forward to the continuation. Thank you.

Yeah, I like this character, too. I like all my characters, but most of them are more like... they're people I find attractive, or people i would like to know. This character is someone I feel like I have more in common with, someone I can identify with myself. I like that she's able to laugh easily. She'll laugh at a simple semi-accidental rhyme, and doesn't seem to feel the need to show off her cleverness. She's just natural, herself. I like that she's genuinely interested in the people around her, and that she'd rather invite her attendant to join her than to be served. I also like that - well, she says she has a hard time relying on others, giving them her trust. And yet, this whole thing starts because she went to the spa, seeking her own comfort after the pain of battle. That can't be an easy thing. I think there's a certain strength in that, in relinquishing control of your body and comfort to another person. Like she's embarked on a journey of healing. That sounds silly, doesn't it saying there's strength in going to a spa? Well, for her, yeah, I think there is. Strength, and growth. I... may or may not have been learning a similar lesson in believing that it's okay for me to accept things for myself. So I feel a sort of connection there. And I like this listener, too. Calm, kind, good at what they do... and in part 2, I think we'll also see that they are loyal and rather clever, too. Part 2... it will be interesting, because certain things about it are very different from this one, but the character is still very much the same protective, caring person we met here. This script may seem simple at first glance, but for some reason I think that the writer was able to feel the characters well and made something that feels real. Long time listener and this is one of my favorite scripts and one I remember fondly. It encapsulated Naga well without overstaying its welcome. While im not a fan of Beasts i thought it did well in its performance and its technical ability to express the familiar theme of comfort and exotic beauty. I actually got another idea for a story for Caleb (the one in the resident evil series I told you about) this time it's going to be about a vampire story but this time Caleb outruns a vampire the title is called "the one who got away" and the reason why Caleb manages to outrun the vampire is for a couple of reasons 1.instead of trying to hide the vampire he uses the extra time to get some distance away from her and 2.caleb is extremely fit

Ahhh, tough hide covering soft heart of a snake lady. Nice ❤ Would be honored to be shedding assistant for such creature IRL 😅. As for the SFX - some of us DO pay attention and indeed, those were spa to me ears. Maybe listener's steps could be on softer side since one could expect that spa employee might want to tread softly (because they tread on many creatures' dreams) but that's just me. That one time I tried to make fantasy ASMR, the biggest chore with SFX was actually obtaining or making ones that fit best. Placing them was time consuming too but not as tedious as getting them.

Good point on the footsteps, thank you. I'll keep that in mind for the sequel. Finding and making sfx is definitely time-consuming, too! Luckily for me, by this point, I've acquired quite a few versatile ones that I can draw on over and over again, but this audio definitely had me scrambling for a few things. The longer I do this, the more importance I find myself putting on placing the sounds in a natural way - not just dropping them between lines, but having them overlap with the conversation and with each other in a way that feels authentic. Overkill, maybe, but I want to do whatever I can to make it immersive. Thank you so much for the comment, and for noticing the little details of what I do!

@@nightshadequeenasmr Definitely, adding SFX onto the voice lines instead between them brings immersion to another level. Like listening to a movie with eyes closed or, in more visual terms, like switching from 2D to 3D animation. Of course this adds another thing the creator needs to control - namely sound volume of each added SFX so they won't "overwhelm" dialog lines. Still, worth doing additional work IMHO.

Don't get me wrong My Queen. IRL, my all-time favorite trigger in ASMR is the clip-clopping of high heel shoes (I'm not sure but I think I might've told you that before), but if I remember correctly, aren't nagas's bodies that of snakes from the waist down?🤣🤣🤣 Anyway, it was the "Naga Warrior" series that first introduced me to your channel through Miss Wendy when the two of you collabed for an episode of this series. That's right! The listener walks. The naga slithers. The sound effect might sound higher-pitched because it's the sound of footsteps on stone rather than, say, wood or dirt. I believe it was after this audio that I started lowering both the pitch and the volume on listener footsteps since so many people mistook them for high heels. But yes, any footsteps you hear are very deliberately placed to indicate that the listener is walking, and there are slithering sounds when the naga moves. There's also a note in the description, though fewer and fewer people read those. But if I think there might be questions, I try to provide answers for them anyway, just in case someone does look. I still feel very lucky to have the opportunity to collab with Miss Wendy. You've gotten very far through my archives! I'm so glad that you enjoy my channel enough to stick around for so long -even when it seems like I've put you in heels.-

That's a very broad question, and the most honest answer is I'm not entirely sure! I have more scripts saved than I could possibly perform, especially since the list gets added to far faster than I can record new things. I can say that I plan to continue any series that have been started, assuming there is or will be another script for it, and that my next upload will probably be a humorous one. The sequel to this is in the works, and a part 3 for the Ex-Mobster Girlfriend series. I'm also looking for a good time to record the finale for the Enemy Queen/Bright Blade series. Otherwise, I usually look through my script list as I go and try to fit in a variety of topics and styles, varying things based on what I've recently done. There's no strict master plan, so I can't ever really say for sure!

(From what I understand, lamiae and nagas come from different cultural roots, but as they're portrayed in current popular culture, that's more or less the case.
