night shift, your work is amazing!! I never would've imagined such a simple civilian project to become a mega detailed, amazing diorama that probably no one in the world can ever do, haha. Congrats on finally finishing, and keep up the amazing work! P.S. Even though KV1s are super common, could you make one on this channel? The Tamiya 1/35 one is super neat (a fun, quick project to do over wintertime) and is also super detailed. Your IS2 and your KV2 are amazing, but we're missing the OG that got them all started, haha! Thanks again for all your dedication, and happy modelling!

That turned out perfect. It looks like a 3d photograph of a real place. This is definitely your best diorama. Thanks for the AK Interactive discount code. I needed to get a few things and they are even throwing in one of the new weathering paints and some brushes for free.

i cannot believe you made the washers underneath the bolts at this scale. i mean. i absolutely believe it. every time there are tiny nails, bolts, and especially welds its so cool! i sometimes watch videos to fall asleep, but when i watch these, i always end up staying awake to watch it come together.

Poor lass, I'd be wanting something stronger than a coffee after driving that Landie for three and a half hours up through Wales (from Ledbury Road Motors near Tewkesbury, AKA Pace on the A438) 😁 That's a suitable building for a model in its own right, but not a patch on the amazing example you found. Judging by Google Street View it's barely changed in over 15 years! Seriously, I get a lot of inspiration from your videos but this is very close to home and is particularly inspiring for a specific project I'm working on, set in North Wales. Very nicely done, Martin. 👍
@NightShiftScaleModelsАй бұрын
I was worried the location of the shack and the origin place of the Landie would be completely off, but 3,5 hours isn't actually that bad! :)))

A quick tip. The foam in foam board is water proof, to get the paper off quickly and cleanly, with zero damage to the foam, simply wet the foam board using warm (not hot) water. Rub the paper as you go, it comes straight off every time with no fuss.

24:28 "giant, orange, rust like stain" - that's the water falling off the roof, hitting the dirt below and jumping back on the surface of the building. This is why you see (in old architecture) elements that stop this. It's the number one decay, akin to a "chinese water drop", but against buildings as water will spray the surfaces with minerals that will take effect on paint, stones, metals etc.

A Yorkshire lass in Welsh Wales. Excellent work yet again. If my figures turned out half as good as your first effort, I'd be very happy. I may have missed the reason you chose the exact place on Google Street View, but there is a tenuous link between the Landy and Wales. 1885: The Rover Company began as a bicycle manufacturer in Warwickshire, England. 1947: The original Land Rover design, inspired by a Jeep axle and chassis, was created by engineer and Rover Company Chairman Maurice Wilks, while Wilks was with his brother Spencer on their farm in Wales. Keep on building.
