This is a further extended version of Nightsong from the World of Warcraft - Cataclysm Soundtrack.
I thought this song was absolutely amazing but way too short, so I combined different versions found in game into an hour long ride.

This music, is so...powerful, mentally intoxicating...I don't know how to explain, I am not even kidding when I say I get goose bumps...I want to live in a mystic place with elfs, in a place of harmony and mental relief. I see myself riding a white horse, through a dark forest, galloping. This world we live in is not giving positive traits on my health...with depression and everything...I dont know if what I am saying makes sense but I know how I feel and am pretty sure there are many to feel this way. I sometimes just go in Darnassus, to listen to this music....would just stand there...and listen. This music purifies me...:)

As someone who never played WoW, I struggled to find the name of this song after I heard it in a video. As a role player, I'm someone who loves to find songs and use them for scenes. This one? It will be used in a sci-fi role play. The players are going after an evil organization that has taken their friends, kidnapped thousands of innocent people, and experimented on them to turn them into monsters. Imagine the flight out to this place, looking to those around you who are accompanying you on the assault of this base, knowing the horrors you have witnessed, and what they are about to see for themselves. And as you descend into the battle, your dropship touches down and you find mechs battling towering monsters, laser turrets wiping out whole squads of allies, and a seemingly non-stop army of enemies charging out of the front door. Ahead of you are the gates of hell, and you must fight your way to them if you want to save your friends and stop this organization once and for all. I don't want to say too much because of the 'what if' chance that someone from the story happens upon this comment before the story is told.

My take on deciphering this, based on the official translations, and a bit of pure speculation: *Azshara* *Nordrassil* = "Crown of the Heavens", the World tree. But i believe that in this case it is meant in the literal sense. Something about Azshara and the Night Elves ruling the whole world before the Sundering. The initial part of the song seems to be a lament, telling the story of the Kaldorei, and a reminder of all they have lost. *Zin-Azshari* = "Glory of Azshara", their capital from before the Sundering. *Quel'dorei* = "Children of Noble Birth" , the Highborne. As i interpreted, she sings this on a somewhat bitter tone, showing resentment towards them. *Nordrassil* = "Crown of the Heavens" (Now this time i believe they are refering to the World tree itself). *Elune Adore* = Elune be with you/us (In no case "Adore" was oficially translated to "Be with us", but for the sake of trying to make sense of the lyrics, let's pretend it can also mean that. "Elune be with you" seems weird, who's this "you" they are refering to?) *Elune Adore* = Elune be with us. ~Drums start~ *Zin* = "Glory" (From "Zin-Azshari"). ~chanting~ *Nordrassil* *Elune* *Zin-Azshari* *Zin-Shan'do Adore* = Something along the lines of "May the glory of our honored teacher be with you/us". (Zin= Glory, Shan'do= "Honored Teacher", Adore= "Be with you".) I believe they are refering to either Cenarius or Malfurion. *Zin* = Glory.

This song perfectly captures the true nature of the Night Elves, aka the Kaldorei, from the war drums expressing their fierce demeanor to the beautiful vocals giving rise to their grace. This more than Ysera reminds me the whole night elf race and all the obstacles they had to go through, since The War Of Acients to Ashes Of Teldrassil. While listening to this music you hear all the struggle and it force you to fell in love with their race. Blood Elves are amazing as well and they are related races if you understand the stories of the Kal'dorei (Night Elves) and Quel'dorei (Highborne) which is where the Sin'dorei (Blood Elves) come from. For me personally i respect all the Elven races, be they Horde or Alliance.

Ashenvale had to be destroyed to get this, so, I have mixed feelings. It didn't help that they used this music to interrupt the music track of whatever zone you were in, often with jarring effects. When a game gets to the level of what WoW was, you can't just trivially screw around with the world. Obviously whoever was responsible for Cata did not call Ashenvale home. I wonder if they even loved Azeroth like we did.

A couple people or so have done this with various WoW music, I have found, but why only 1 hour? If you love us...please make it something like 6-8 hours or something, because I will often listen to stuff like this to get to sleep (having huge trouble sleeping atm), but always wake up when the music stops. And yeah, I know technically all the info and free programs exist on the internet to do it myself, but I'm not that technically minded, and besides...effort, lol! But thanks for putting stuff like this out there in the first place. :) PS: I think a KZbinr by the name of Everness has a good range of WoW music, and all the 1 hour mark. I must make a note to hassle them too, to do the same thing and make the extended composition a good 8 hours, lol! Especially the tavern music. That's the good stuff! :D
