I love this song, because even without knowing a single word of the song , or the source material you would be able to interpret the meaning. Slow at first, majestic and mysterious like the ancient elven civilization. It is a gentle authoritative tone that slowly wanes as the drums pick up the pace. It tells of strife, of danger and challenge that the majestic melody experiences. And even as the melody and the drums grow faster , it maintains the harmony and dignity that is at the core of the subject material. The song is disrupted and yet remains consistent just like the Night Elves who stick true to their role and answer the call. The song triumphs over the trumpets. It marries with it and the strife becomes part of its identity. Ending almost abruptly like their civilization did, save for the very end, where the lyrics remind of the songs beginning, and the new drums announce that the ancient civilization still rises, and still remembers. This is a criminally underrated soundtrack outside of the fan circles that is.

My take on deciphering this, based on the official translations, and a bit of pure speculation: *Azshara* *Nordrassil* = "Crown of the Heavens", the World tree. But i believe that in this case it is meant in the literal sense. Something about Azshara and the Night Elves ruling the whole world before the Sundering. The initial part of the song seems to be a lament, telling the story of the Kaldorei, and a reminder of all they have lost. *Zin-Azshari* = "Glory of Azshara", their capital from before the Sundering. *Quel'dorei* = "Children of Noble Birth" , the Highborne. As i interpreted, she sings this on a somewhat bitter tone, showing resentment towards them. *Nordrassil* = "Crown of the Heavens" (Now this time i believe they are refering to the World tree itself). *Elune Adore* = Elune be with you/us (In no case "Adore" was oficially translated to "Be with us", but for the sake of trying to make sense of the lyrics, let's pretend it can also mean that. "Elune be with you" seems weird, who's this "you" they are refering to?) *Elune Adore* = Elune be with us. ~Drums start~ *Zin* = "Glory" (From "Zin-Azshari"). ~chanting~ *Nordrassil* *Elune* *Zin-Azshari* *Zin-Shan'do Adore* = Something along the lines of "May the glory of our honored teacher be with you/us". (Zin= Glory, Shan'do= "Honored Teacher", Adore= "Be with you".) I believe they are refering to either Cenarius or Malfurion. *Zin* = Glory.

@valeclaw16972 жыл бұрын
@@tsvetlena9547 2 years late but I think its because of the city itself having that name. I dont think they're glorifying it. Kaldorei are known to be very aware of their own history and mistakes, I believe that acknowledgements of mistakes that overcame, who they were to who they are now (nordrassil) is heartening.

Some people need to get up to scratch on elf lore. All elves are descendant of Night elves. A group of them were banished because they were abusing their magical powers... the banished group of elves were called high elves. Then 10,000 years later, Arthas and his scourge army almost completely wiped out the high elves and killed Lady Sylvanas Windrunner. She was then transformed into a banshee by Arthas to do his bidding. Later Sylvanas and a group of undead rebelled and became what we kno today as the undead forsaken. Meanwhile Kael'thas took over as leader of the remaining high elves, after the attack, they called themselves Blood Elves. Due to the fact that the Lich King corrupted the sunwell "the blood elves source of magic" they had to look for magic elsewhere, so Kael'thas went to Outland to find a different source of magic and Lor'themar Theron took over as leader.

The song is about Nordrassil yet the picture is actually of Teldrassil. Why can't Teldrassil look like that in the game? The big ol' stump that is the foundation of Darnassus is no where near as cool as this picture.
@lychenthrope7 жыл бұрын
I think it's a stump because of how they let moonlight in. I could be wrong. It's also called 'The crown of Azeroth' so it could be a stump to look more like a crown.

As I listen to the first few minutes of the song over and over again, I realize with a heavy heart what a great evil the Horde has done... What a great evil our "leader" Silvana has done... Our hand... The hands of thousands of Horde men are covered in the blood Of the children of the stars, but not the hands of Silvana. Who would not say that, but Blizzard made me feel a ton of feelings during the passage of prepatch. After its completion, I stood for a long time on the seashore and watched the death of the World tree and the death of its inhabitants who remained there. Children, women, men, priests, and druids who remained in the Temple of their goddess until the end and helped the wounded. These are the horrors of war. When one person leads thousands of his pawns to death, and she stands behind them. Eluna is with you. My Orc heart prays for the help of the spirits of the elements and ancestors, so that this whole nightmare will end and the Crown of the World will come to life again... Despite everything. Hope not to kill.

I personally love WoW and their song, but I wish the game was more a rpg instead of a hunt for the best stuff and the most gold... I mean after playing DnD the thing you want the most in a role playing video game is all the possibilities in it! I hope they make an extension that is more about the "playing" than the story... but that demands so much work... This song is still my favorite =)
