Jewellianna Palencia does braids prevent ur hair from growing or help it
@joshiyonnahayes6016

Anaiya Tunnell it depends if braids are to tight instead of growing its pulling it out. if you get braids/protective styles the right way then you'll be fine and see some growth.

Great video . I like it that you show the reality of curly hair -i.e. it does not automatically look gorgeous 24/7 , especially not in the morning . people with straight hair just don't get this , or understand the work we curly girls have to put in to get our curls looking good . thanks for posting ,

melleny peacock my hair texture is similar to this also and I use TGIN (Thank God It's Natural) deep conditioner and it's AMAZING. I sit under a hooded dryer for 30 minutes for additional penetration but it's not a requirement. It makes my hair super soft, Moisturized and manageable
@melslittleworld2

never thought of that. I try to keep all heat away from it so that's good knowledge. it's halfway down her back and I do use a cap every single night as she doesn't sleep just on a pillow lol

@Jewellianna
@Jewellianna 7 жыл бұрын
You definitely don't have to do more. A lot of my hair routine is for aesthetic (because I usually have to take pictures or be on video everyday and want my hair too look it's best). But if you search "night time routine" on my channel, you will see that my previous night time hair routine was very simple when I was in college and before I was blogging more often (and my hair was longer then). So you don't need complexity to grow long hair; simple but effective routines work just as well! :)

The more you can be comfortable with it in its short state, and not over manipulate, you'll soon look up and see hot curls taking off. Just clean, deep condition, and leave in condition. Their are plenty low manipulation styles to rock a short hairdo

Well it's what I do to keep my hair moisturized. 1. Go in the shower and section hair into two. I have a conditioner that's mixed with baking soda. 2. I put my conditioner soda (baking soda and conditioner) in the left section and let that sit. And i do the same with the right. 3. I lightly detangle with my fingers to make sure that I don't break anything and if I did it right, I can glide my Dinmin (idk how to spell it) through my hair. 4. Than I wash it out and than I start with shampoo. sometimes if I feel like my hair is tangle I will detangle it again. And I realise my hair isn't tangled. 5. I wash it out (thoroughly) than I out a little bit of conditioner and I leave that in my hair. 6. Than I use some, "Coconut Oil by Dax with Vitiman E" and I moisturize my hair in *4* sections. 7. And since I have been getting into turbans, aka ~ Headwraps. I just wrap my hair and since my hair still needs air, I leave a semi afro out at the top. *And that's my hair routine! I do it every 3 days cause my hair gets dry fast and I wanna keep it moisturized*

My hair routine consists of Hot oil Treatment Cleanse (with a gentle shampoo because my scalp don't get that dirty) Deep condition (with shea moisture's intensive hydration hair mask) Detangle before rinsing deep conditioner out (I detangle in smaller sections) rinse with cold water and moisturize with blue magic's hair grease (I make sure my hair is still wet so my hair won't be greasy) For night I just re-wet my hair and apply a little bit more of hair grease (my hair soaks up everything!) Then I cover my hair until the morning.

My night time routine is really quick. Just pineapple, put my satin scarf and go to bed. In the morning day 2 and 4 spray my hair with a little bit of water and my own oil mix (coconut, black castor oil and mango oil). I found my staple for my wash and go so my hair use to stay moisturize and soft during the week. I wash my hair every Sundays.

Great tips! Whenever my hair's in a wash and go or twist out, I always make 5 or 6 ponytails and put on a bonnet over top. Sometimes I do the baggy method as well, especially during the winter. I'm 3A/3B-ish, a little past shoulder length when curly and about armpit length when stretched.

That was really helpful!! Thank you for sharing your routine - I've been trying to find a daily/weekly night time routine and you're the first KZbinr to show multiple night time hair routines! I've been struggling with my night time routine because all everyone says to do is pineapple - so that's what I did. Then I ran into issues of knots and some breakage with just pineappling and frizzy hair at the front. I love that you re-moisturized your curls on Day 3 & 4 and braided the ends. I started doing that and it's made a huge difference. Love your channel girl!

Hello, Jewellianna! I been extremely depressed and I think my hair is suffering. My hair is extremely dry ALL the time. When I'm washing my hair and I try to very very gentle, my hair still breaks off. I was wondering what do you think I should do to help my hair stop breaking off so that I can retain length. ☹️
@Jewellianna
@Jewellianna 7 жыл бұрын
I'm so sorry that is happening!! I was in the same position where my hair was breaking off chronically and was super fragile. Here are my recommendations: 1. Eliminate ALL chemicals and heat (my recommendation is for at least year) to allow your hair to grow and recover 2. Trim off any damaged ends and breakage (you can do it overtime or all at once) 3. Use a protein treatment every 3-4 weeks (Apogee's 2 step protein treatment is great) 4. Try keeping your hair in protective styles for at least 3-4 days out of the week (dutch braids, ponytails, buns, twists, etc.. pretty much anything that isn't too tight and that you can take out after a few days) 5. Deep condition EVERY time you wash and be extremely gentle when detangling. 6. Use a conditioner and leave-in conditioner that is VERY moisturizing and has TONS of slip! I hope this helps! When recovering damaged hair, what you DON'T do is 10000x's more important than what you do to your hair. So make sure that you're replacing anything that could potentially damage your hair with healthy hair practices. And also for product recommendations and hair routines, check my updated wash & go routine or slippery, moisturizing, and nourishing hair products! :))

My hair routine: I usually go to a hairstylist and have a protective style installed, but when I don’t go to the hair salon, I pre-poo my hair with an oil mix, then I deep condition with Shea Moisture’s Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque and sit under a dryer, then I shampoo with Kinky-Curly’s Come Clean, then I use Cantu Leave-In Cream as a leave-in and a styler because I have like three different hair types.

ok so this is what i do booboo. on wash days i'm now doing a deep hot ass oil treatment with a mixture of every oil i have lmao. Castor oil, almond, coconut, rose hip and tea tree. Let it sit about an hr or all day depending on if i have plans. Then i rinse it out and then either cowash or shampoo my head. After that i deep condition with a repairing mask or regular deep moisture conditioner for an additional 30 mins-hr and then rinse out and style as usual. it's a lot of steps but i usually do all that once a week. lol

this is just the normal amount of steps imo, except maybe the oil pre-poo. it's not that much. but I'm lazy so i personally don't keep up with deep conditioning like I should lol

I don't like hair typing but if I had to I have 3b,3c and at night I just throw it up in a pony tail and go to sleep in the morning I just shower and wet my hair and start over, pineappling doesn't work for me my hair is wet ati) by the end of the day too so I have to refresh the next day other wise it smells gross. also I went natural for about 4 months and now have straightened my hair bc I'm expecting twins in 3months and since they can come early I'm just going to wear braid outs until after they are born bc I won't have time to deal with my nappy fro while recovering and the striaght hair is easier to get ready for pictures and make presentable when I have guest. one thing I want to know is does my hair grow when its straight? I mean if you condition it message and wear a protective style does it grow as fast as it does when natural?

Taylor Manning I band my hair with hair ties at night and put a bonnet over it. That way I don't have to wet my hair everyday because the pineapple didn't work for me either. There are a bunch of videos on KZbin about the banding hair method if you want to check it out.

Thanks so much for the video. My routine a few hours before bed is: I spray my hair with water to dampen it, apply a moisturizer, jbco or some type of oil on my edges & massage. I'm working really hard to recover thin edges. Air dry. Apply a satin bonnet before going to sleep. Thanks again for inputting your picture because I don't have Instagram or Snapchat. Take care

Jewellianna Palencia I use either Jamaican black castor oil, or a mixture of different oils. Yes it is helping because I literally had 2 bald spots and I now have a little fuzzy baby soft hair. I have to be soooo careful since it's so fragile. Due to me being so anxious, I need to figure out some type of routine for my edges so I'll know for sure what really worked

I honestly believe that my nighttime routine has a lot to do with my hair breakage/growth. I usually just get one of those tight scrunchies they sell at Dollar Tree and tie it in a tight bun and go to sleep.. no satin pillow case,scrunchies, nada... oh and when I wake up it's a knotty mess. Taking notes!

Day 1 routine is same as yours. Day 2-3 I usually just spritz all over with water/leave in conditioner and add some oil and pineapple. If I make it to day 4 + I fully saturate with water, add some conditioner and shea butter and do four chunky twists. My hair type is all over the charts. I think I have 3b -4c. My glorious mess of waves, curls, coils, and zigzags 😁 great video. I need that SLAP in my life.

My hair care routine is sorta similar but I do mine in the morning and it takes two days... I use pantene pro v full and thick shampoo and conditioner (I've read the reviews saying its bad and its chemical base) but I started using it in May 2017 and it had reduced my frizziness it brought curls I never thought I could get and my hair has never been this thick so it works for me. This is just day one and all I do it wash either pineapple top with a satin crunchie very loose or braid my hair in two while drying it with a microfiber towel and air dry. Day 2 is deep conditioning with Shea moisture jamaican( my island) black castor oil and steaming it with a micro fiber towel for an hour then washing it out put in a leave in conditioner rose elixir on my ends and the innate life hair scalp treatment for my scalp and letting it air dry after that.. I put my hair in protective styling till the next wash day or leave it out.. My hair routine is a combination of Syria Jade and jewelliana
