A couple years ago I took a year off my tret 0.1 and started again in 2020. First mistake, I used my original tube and it was expired. But when I tell you I was irritated for a whole year….. do not start at 0.1%!! Lol. My skin finally recovered when I returned to my derm and got 0.05%. Now im chillin and my skin’s been great

Tretinoin is the goat for anti-aging. I've been on it for over a year and I just bumped up to 0.1 as I just want to my skin super smooth as I still have very little texture that I want to clear up. I don't think I will ever get off it as my goal is preventative anti-aging especially since I started young. Niacinamide+ Tretinoin is a really good combo.

Even though I stick to a medium strength retinol, I feel like a routine like this is always great for every skin type and concern! Hydrating and soothing ingredients are the slept-on king and queen of healthy skin!

I just started Tretinoin 0.05% with Azelaic Acid 4% and Niacinimide 4% . No side effects but I was using Differin every night before .

I've just done my first week of Tret from Dermatica , so far no issues but before that I was a nightly Differin 0.1% user . I went on to 0.05% Tret so I hope I don't have any uglies coming ! 👏😊🇬🇧🌈

Olay moisturizer is pretty good, the one that uses small hyaluronic acid… I finally caved in to try the brand and…. Yeah… their cream is hydrating AF and their caffeine eye product is actually really good!! Try the … I think it’s called peach Lilly(?) they sell it at Ulta, their spray is so so good!! That is also hydrating!! Timeless products are also really nice!! Love it when you make vids!!

I wish I could tolerate Tret on my neck! I use it on my face and then use Retinal (Naturium one) on my neck and then the BoJ retinal eye cream under my eyes. It's been really great but you're definitely right it's best to layer hydration and emollients and also work your way up to using it every day. When I first did it I did it every other day for two weeks then did it every day after that once I knew I could tolerate it. It's a miracle product but definitely not to be trifled with haha.

I do the same routine, except after my toners and serums, i use a lightweight moisturizer, wait then apply tret. Then i apply a thicker moisturizer before bed. ❤️

Cheers Ramón! For folks starting on Tretinoin using a buffer can be really useful, especially around the eyes, mouth, and nostrils. I went with straight up shea butter and it worked well for me😉

ramon if you ever come to australia, or can ever get your hands on them, the natio sensitive sun line and the natio daily facial moisturiser spf 50 are SOOOOO good, just like korean or japanese sunscreens. they are also SO cheap ($~$15 for 200ML!!!), and they're australian regulated with water resistance up to 4 hours!!!

Lol I started tret at 0.005 bc I have dry, sensitive skin. Went up to 0.01 gradually and it worked well until winter weather, so I went back to 0.005 and am just getting back to 0.01% now.

Love! I think though that Vaseline would just totally block your tret from penetrating the skin barrier all together. The molecules are too large

I’m on my sixth week of retinal but oh my god I was wrong to think I was the type not to purge !! I only ever get whiteheads but many at a time. My purge on retinal .5% was brutal for 2-3 weeks. Whiteheads everywhere !! But I can finally see a huge improvement in my mild acne! Totally worth it. I’ll re-evaluate at 3 months !

Where'd you find such a high concentration? Or did you mean 0.05%? The most I could find was medik8 crystal retinal 20 which has 0.2%.

A man after my own heart! I always put layers of serums and eye creams and then a moisturizer or two 😬 before my Tretinoin mainly this time of year when my skin is freaking out from the weather. And when I go up in my dose it’s the only way to do it without horrific irritation

I just started retinoids about a month ago, I bounce back and fourth between my deffrin and Bakuchiol and I have not experienced any irritation or peeling. I also use an essence from k Beauty first, or centella toner then my actives, a moisturizer on top and it’s been working really good for me!
@angelinebiswas7611
@angelinebiswas7611 2 жыл бұрын
What bakuchiol do you use? The studies on bakuchiol as a retinol alternative aren’t very convincing. If it’s irritation you’re specifically trying to avoid so yourself a favor and just get a retinol. Bakuchiol does nothing-in the MOST respectful way. It would take 10 years to achieve what you could in one year with lose dose retinol. Paula’s choice has several low doses I highly recommend Retinaldahyde if you’re not ready for RX as it’s the closest to a prescription with less irritation than retinol because it only takes 1 step to convert to retinoic acid whereas retinol can take 2-3 which is the irritation part. ❤ Naturium has a fantastic .05% retinaldahyde in a 1.7 Oz tube for $29 which is a STEAL compared to other retinaldahydes which are typically hella expensive

@@angelinebiswas7611 I have a few retinol products, a retinoid, and ADAPALENE. Also have a product that has retinaldahyde too. I won’t buy Naturium due to the videos I watch of the lady talking about it and there was deception on her side.

So do you exfoliate at all? Like on days where you’re not using tret? Or does tret just take care of everything. I have eczema and I’ve been thinking of trying differin again but my whole skin was just irritatedddd

While you were massaging tret your skin turned dark red really really red. I love tret I use tret for 20 years and confirm tret slows aging significantly meaning no wrinkles and skin keep having even tone and smooth to the touch just a little sensitive but it can be managed by intense moisturasation

I'm also on the hydration train! I got a super damaged skin barrier a couple months back and am now starting to be able to use actives more frequently with no irritation after. But because of that I've been off my 0.1% tret for a long time. I'm starting low and slow with retinol first to get my skin used to the retinization process again because the strength I have is way too high to jump right back in. Then I plan on using retinal, then getting back into tret hopefully! I use it because I get a lot of hormonal cystic acne and PIE after. You should see my before pictures 😅 they're rough.

I am based in the Netherlands and trust me when I say that you are not able to even get tretinoin. They sometimes prescribe it for acne but that’s it.. I can’t even come in contact with a good dermatologist without my GP referring me 😢
